How much do you spend weekly or monthly on groceries?

We spend about $800/month for 5 people (sons are 14, 11, & 6) and one dog. Probably another $100/month dining out- we don't go out that often.

Wow, I feel like the cheapskate here! I have a family of three (but dd Ashli spends a lot of time away from home, she only eats with us 3-4 times a week at most). We also eat dinner out once and sometimes twice a week. I spend between 30-40 dollars a week on groceries but that does include cleaning supplies. We have a big garden though and during the summer months we get nearly all our veggies from it and quite a few of them in the winter months as well since I can some of them.

About $150 a week for a family of 4 and that includes health and beauty supplies. We normally don't eat out much, maybe twice a month (we recently moved 1250 miles, so lots of eating out and I'm so sick of it!). Oh, I also LOATHE grocery shopping! What a waste of a good half a day!

If you are simply referring to food items, about 250.00 per week, add in make-up, tanning lotions, perfume, hair spray etc. about 2000 per month.

For DH and I, we spend about $50 a week total (including cleaning supplies, health products, etc)

Maybe $200 a month total?

When all 4 of us are here, its about $300-$400 a month. I do a lot of Costco, coupons and use our military commissary to try and keep it low. We eat out maybe twice a month.

We are around 1200 a month or more (Three of us) That does include paper product, alcohol ect.....
WE try to eat fairly healthy and that is expensive!!!!!! Why is it that?????
Lean meats, chickenbreasts, veggies ect are more then if we ate lots of pasta hot dogs ect....???
Not to say we do not eat those foods also we do!!!
:D

For the 4 of us, 1 dog, 5 cats and a bunny, I guess about 600$ per month, but that is everything. However, we do eat out alot and that is additional. We do shop at the Commissary every month, as well as Sam's club for some things. Every week we do a small shopping when we do FatherIL's shopping.

::yes:: ::yes::

But then, our 2000 covers wine and cancer sticks from Wal MArt too ::yes::

We probably spend about $600 per month on average for the 2 of us. DH and I splurge and buy quality in the stores or order from mail order companies things such as quality beef. We do so, because we figure it ends up being less expensive than eating out.

It does give us some great leeway if we had to suddenly cut back due to job loss, etc.

yep, its as I suspected...we are on the upper end of the amounts listed here. there are 5 of us, but 2/5 are only 3 months old, and the third child is only 2. I know we waste a lot and could do a lot better!

the funny thing is we could eat out for free (due to dh's job), but not realistic with three young kids.

About $100-$150 for the both of us per week.

But I buy all my veggies from a fresh veggie market, and I buy really good cuts of meat. We don't really eat junk food and we only eat dinners out, not lunches.

Other foods cost less, but they are not good for you. The stupider the name of the food is the worse it is for you (think of Gogurt  )

Tacky food is for tacky people; I refuse to eat it.

We are a family of 4 with one teen and one pre-teen and we spend probably between $800 to $1000 a month. This includes shampoo, paper products, laundry detergents and all that type of stuff.

We spend probably about $500 a month on groceries for a family of 6, with 1 cat. :)

We spend about $150 a week for DH and me, a cat, and an iguana, sometimes more, sometimes less. I tend to buy whatever strikes my fancy at the market on that particular day. And loads of fresh veggies!

I've looked at the pictures of your daughters for a long time now and I have to tell you, these girls are absolutely beautiful! I'm sure you're very proud of both of them! :)

It is just DH, myself, 2 cats and the dogs. We average about 80 - 100 a week.

For the 2 of us, I probably spend about $60/wk on groceries and $15/wk on the milkman

There are 5 of us. We don't eat meat, so this doesn't include meat or alcohol, it does usually include cleaning stuff. I average about $180 per week.
I also spend more than a 100 on food and junk out of the house.

1 dog, 2 cats, a bunny, fish and a frog. I go to the pet store and that runs me about $80 per month.

I just saw in our local paper today. A new bussiness opening in town next month. All foods ( whole foods, no preservatives, etc... ) half cooked you take them home and cook them the rest of the way. You can order online and they will run your order for the day or week out to the car! I am gonna love this service.I can not wait till it starts.
