How much do you spend on souvenirs?

If you ask my husband he will tell you we spend way too much on souveniers but I can't help myself. I want to bring all of the magic home with me.

Usually nothing for Mom & Dad!! Kid's do all of the shopping. Sometimes parents might com home with a T Shirt. Last trip was ridiculous... we usually give cash and once gone that's it for spending. We learned our lesson last month by allowing 2 teens free reign with charging privileges. Darling son was generous as he bought gift after gift for his sister from us! Guess the concept of what's yours is mine has been incorporated into his budgeting plan. Seriously we had a great trip. We will go back to cash because it is easy to "forget" you really are paying when handing over the room key and saying "Charge it".

I usually spend around $200 each trip on just souvenirs. That usually includes a coffee cup and coffee mug as well as clothes and different gifts from the resort I am staying at. That always seems like a lot to me. I wish I could spend more becuase I always see things I want.

Me too! And, my little ds4 loves all the merchandise! So, I am sure we will go over our usual $$ budget, but it doesn't matter! We are going to totally enjoy ourselves!:cool1:

About $40.00 last year on a seven day trip.

Mug for me, a few magnets to share. A pair of earrings.

I will spend money on the experince, not on stuff to be brought home and never seen again.

Let's see. I spent $200.00 on just Christmas ornament. Now I buy my 4 grand kids one every year. Have them write their name and the year on them. Then I buy a current year one for my self and then other things that I have to have. That also includes shipping it all home. I bought one in Germany one year and that one did not even make it out of the park! So the cost to ship the ornaments is really worth it to me. I also usually buy a piece of jewelry. Then I hit the t-shirts. I love all the new ones. So, yes I do spend to much, but I save all year for, and I do enjoy shopping in all the stores. I loved the Tread-d store this year.

i save all year for it so i dont feel bad about it at all!!
last year, i brought about $500 in cash/traveller's checks and came home with $100. however .. i did charge a few things ... :wizard:
tren-d at DTD KILLED my budget ... coz i got 2 expensive junkfood loves disney tees and one of the dooney & bourke bags that was $160! :scared1: but i just love to take the magic home with me! :wizard:
i got a few ornaments, a t-shirt from the haunted mansion which RULES and a NBC jack t-shirt from DHS i TOTALLY broke the bank this past year!!!

the last time i was at Epcot, which was about 10 years ago, i spent over $1500 on non food stuff. That was largely at Japan and china stores. I have an oriental bedroom, so many things were for decorating that. now that I have kids and hubby, I think we will be cutting that down to under $400 for 3 parks.
