I have been striving towards keeping the food budget in our household down to under $500/month for a family of 3, but we are in Canada and food prices are high. So it's been fluctuating between $525-600 ; I am so close to the goal!

I don't have a budget. I just buy what we need but I'm going to guess we spend $600 a month on groceries. Another $150 in toiletries. I would guess another $200-300 a month eating out. My kids go to my grandma's house most days after school and she cooks them an entire meal when they get there so some nights they eat pretty light when they get home. I imagine my grocery bill would be higher if they came home everyday after school and ate me out of house and home.
