How much do you save with rewards programs...

How do you get so many, I dont even come close to 25 a month
Try updating your profile to get more emails. The more interests that you have, the more clickable emails you will get.

Where are the surveys, I sometimes get those things on the main page that ask if I watched TV last night or if anyone in my house has asthma ( or whatever) and I can click for 5 points if I dont qualify or I can routed to an offer. But those are just 5 points and they don't sent to a survey so I am not sure where the surveys are.

2 people mentioned 10 points but I don't see anything for 10 points ( or more)
The 10 point surveys are in the clickable emails. You have to answer a few questions about your demographics and interests to see if you qualify for most surveys. If you do, you will get the maximum number of points mentioned in the email. If you don't qualify then you will still get points for your effort. Usually it's around 10 points.

I want to add that when you join a program, you want to make sure that they offer rewards that you can use. Most of them offer some form of cash back but if not, make sure that they have gift cards for places you shop at.

I have been a member of Mypoints for almost 10 years and have earned about 43,000 points durign that time. I rarely shop through the MP portal, as it typically is not as generous as other rewards shopping portals. I usually jsut do the clicks for 5 points, so it does add up. The number of e-mails changes over time, but I usually get 20-30 per week. -- Suzanne

Not the same poster but Swagbucks TV is GREAT to rack up points. Swagbucks is my Christmas plan. :rotfl: I earned $25 last month cashing out for the $5 Amazon gift cards. I cashed out for my first one this month last night. I run Swag TV while I ChaCha. Every so many shows, you get 5 swag bucks. Also, do the daily poll, NOSO, and trusted survey. Install the tool bar and search everything you want to go to. Wanna go to disboards.com? Just put disboards in and search it. Once in a while you get lucky and get points. They add up fast. I love love love this program. It paid for half of my Christmas last year.

I do the 4 daily points - toolbar, poll, NOSO, survey every day. I watch videos in the special offers. I use Swagbucks TV. I also installed the toolbar and use the search. Whenever I want to go on any site I go through the tool bar search. So if I want to come here to the disboards I put disboards in the SB toolbar.

I don't do too many special offeres - just the videos and things I am truly interested in. Like the other day they gave 317 SB for doing the B&N groupon. I did want to groupon so I made sure to get it through the SB special offer. I already earned two $5 amazon gift cards this month.

And I do the special offer surveys sometimes. I don't have much time for the surveys but today I did one that gave me 90 SB.

Thank-you both!! I wasn't doing all there was to do. You can bet that I am now. I was able to earn 67 points last evening while I was kicked back watching TV. Best day ever for earning points!!

I use swagbucks, mypoints & quickrewards. I rarely shop online. So, I don't earn a lot that way, but with just clicking links (quickrewards)& emails(mypoints), searching (swagbucks). I make a decent amount of "fun money" with minimal effort. I spend about 30 minutes a day total & probably make about $10 a month on Swagbucks & quickrewards. Mypoints is slow, but I've found if you add their search tool (they now have one that adds to the one in your browser as opposed to having to download a toolbar) it adds up faster since you can get 75 points a month for doing just 30 searches.

...Kycha...I just sent you a PM...

I gave up on QR a long time ago because it was taking way too long, much more than 30 minutes, to do all the daily stuff on their site. I'm wondering now what I was doing wrong. Would you be willing share your best tips for it, please?

I have to chime in regarding MyPoints - LOVE IT!! :banana:I use them when I buy from ebay, which isn't often, other than that I just click the paid emails. I've never ever had a cashout problem and have redeemed a number of times. Easy!!

As a pp suggested, make sure you update your profile. Also, check your email subscriptions. I am subscribed to everything they have available including BonusMail and SurveyMail.

If you earn 75 points a day you should be able to earn 5 $25 amazon gift cards (in a month that has 30 days). I try to do more than 75 on days when I am home. On most days I do get less than 75. But I try to make up for it other days when I have more time. I would like to get to the point where I earn all 5 early in the month and then start working on the next month.

another Swagbucks tip -

There is a facebook group. People there post "Thanks TSG" when there is a code out. I don't catch the codes often. But sometimes I check the FB page and do get a code. You won't know what the code is from the FB page but it will tell you to look for one.

Thank you, I had very little selected joined so long ago I didn't remember at all what I had done. Hopefully the points start rolling in now. I need all the help I can get!

My "family" vacation fund currently has about $70 in it and the goal is about $4000
We just took a holiday recently but I'm always planning the next and hubby and I have a weekend getway in march thats 90% paid for already (won it)

But I need to feel like I am doing "something" to help that vacation fund not only grow as fast as it can, but to do as much of it as I can in 'found' money. So even $100 in resuraunt or gas GC's over the course of a year is a total bonus.

I like swagbucks and mypoints. I have an ebates account but I've never used it but I really should start.
I think I do the best with swagbucks. I do all the daily things and I buy my iTunes music through it. I have always gotten amazon GCs but now I am going to start saving for paypal GCs so I could put it in my account for wedding stuff. I almost have enough for $15, which isn't much but I started saving right after Christmas and the paypal cards are 700 points as opposed to the amazon which I think are 450. From July-December I got $80 Amazon GCs and spent it on Christmas gifts.
I also belong to surveyhead but it takes FOREVER to cash out, still I am $3 short to be eligible to cash out for a paypal card. I just cannot seem to qualify for their surveys.

You could use credit cards that offer rewards to help get to your goal faster. If it's a Disney trip, obviously Disney Visa. Discover and Capital One offers many different types of gift cards (gas, restaurants, hotels). But this only works if you pay them off every month. We usually drive everywhere but I know there are many programs for airline miles. Completely free money for doing absolutely nothing but using the credit card to buy things you would already be buying! :cool1:

I can't help you with your first question. I don't belong to upromise.

For mypoints, when you open an email from them, scroll down a little bit until you see the orange button that says "GET POINTS". Click that and once the page opens up your points should be credited to your account. Not all of the mypoints emails will give you points just for clicking or visiting the site. Some of the emails require you to respond to the offer(spend money) to get points. Just open each email and read the requirements. Some will give additional points if you register on the site or sign up for a newsletter.

I have been a member of mypoints since 4/2006 and have earned 18,908 points(and for 18 months of that time I wasn't active at all). And all of that was from clicking emails, signing up for newsletters and easy points. I have never purchased anything through mypoints. And I receive, on average, 25 clickable emails a week.

Also check out mypoints website. Click on the EASY POINTS tab. There are a bunch of offers you can respond to that don't require you to purchase anything. It can help build up your points.

Thanks! I went thru all the emails last night but didn't click on the right thing obviously. I'll go back through them again and try to get the points.

How much online shopping do you do?

An easy thing I've found is, if I'm going to buy something online anyway, makes sure I don't just go to the website - click through somewhere first. For instance, I was sending flowers today, and rather than just go to a flower website, I went to Swagbucks first and got 900 swagbucks - enough 2 $5 Amazon cards. Nice bonus for something I was going to do anyway.

My credit union (USAA) has "click through" deals, too. Sometimes % off, sometimes a % back, so check with your bank.

My online shopping varies... around Christmas I do a ton... wish I would have known about all of this then! But the majority of my shopping I do on Amazon, which is not part of ebates, right? I'll look at Swagbucks too, thanks for the info!

The only rewards program I use is with my american express. I can trade in the points for gift certificates. So far I have enough points for $150 in restaurant gift cards. I like it because they can be redeemed at popular chain restaurants. I plan on using them this August for my disney trip. Orlando has a cheesecake factory, magiannos and Olive garden very close to wdw. So I'll have at least enough points for two complete dinners for 4 at least.

DD#1 did almost all of her Christmas shopping w/SBs and MyPoints; she dedicates about an hour daily (not necessarily at one sitting) accumulating points in whatever manner available. This woman is an incredible bargain-hunter and RARELY pays retail for anything.

I belong to a points-based hotel rewards program and got $600 worth of gift cards for free this past Christmas.

I do simplegpt and sunshine rewards. On simplegpt I just sign up for offers. I have earned over $600 since January of last year for our disney trip, and I took most of the summer off.

On sunshine rewards I only do surveys but like someone else said they can be soooo frustrating to earn 80 cents. I might spent 20 minutes or more just trying to qualify for a survey before they tell me I don't qualify. Sometimes I get lucky and get a short 10 minute survey. I've got $40 in there right now and I'm thinking once I get to $50 I will cash out for my disney gift card. They also have free offers on there but I've found simplegpt has a lot more and the chat box for help is nice so I do them over there.

Doing these things online is very time consuming to me. I can spend an hour and maybe make $2....but I can do it whenever I want and it gives me something to do for a little extra vacation money while the kids are at school.

Can tell the secret getting offers to credit on simplegpt. I never can get the darn things to credit on there.

I don't seem to have the difficulty others have with spending 20 minutes just to qualify for a survey. Sometimes they will take a little longer, but I've never taken that long. Since January 4th I've made $124.65 on quickrewards doing mostly surveys. About $5 of that is from shopping, the rest surveys. I do it at night while I'm watching TV or in the morning after I put DS on the bus for school. While to some people it doesn't seem worth it, I seem to think it's entirely worth it. Having the opportunity to make upwards of at least $500 in free money for my trip while I watch TV isn't really all that much trouble IMO.

For quick rewards, I don't do all of the daily stuff, just the clickable emails (I usually go to the website to do those rather than click the emails because for some reason they seem to credit better...the daily clicks (there is currently one that is worth anywhere from 1-5 cents a day...typically 3). Watch for the high creditors like that & make sure to click it daily. Then, do the trivia. Then, I try to do at least one survey a week....that day may take me more than 30 minutes because it often takes a few trys to actually get one to accept me. I don't bother with the "targeted" surveys at the top of the list....I just scroll down to the bottom to ones that are always there...starting with the ones that pay the most (.90 or $1). It seems to add up for me.... The only trick I know is remembering to do it daily.

Good luck!

I do QR & I am about $8 away from another $50 Disney gift card. I usually just do their daily clicks & emails & occasionally I do shop thru them. And when I am in the mood I will do surveys or attempt to do them. I was doing really good last year but I got tired of doing them.

I still have Sunshine Rewards & don't do too much on that site. I am hoping in the next 3 years (my next trip) I will have earned $25. I think I only have about $5 now (I just cashed out for $50 not to long ago). Occasionally I will shop thru there.

I love swag bucks. My dh told me about it about a year or so ago. I signed up for it but never gave it much thought. But about 6 months ago or so I finally got into it. I yell at my dh if he doesn't search thru them. I get the Amazon gift cards thru them for Christmas.

I also do Inbox Dollars. I do their email clicks & watch the videos. Yesterday I watched 5 & got 13 cents (LOL big money, right?).

I also do My Survey but again I have been lazy with the surveys so I haven't been doing much on them. I did cash out for an Amazon gift card right before Christmas so it came in handy.

It's kind of hit and miss. I usually get about 50% of what I submit to credit. Make sure you use a new email and clear your cookies between offers. I think in the FAQ over there it gives you good tips. Also certain things seem to credit better than others. How long have you been a member there?

Since last November. I have read the FAQ several times.

I've done mypoints and swagbucks and stopped doing those just because of the time involved.

My go to website now is fatwallet. Similar to ebates you earn cashback on purchases if you go through their website. But more helpful to me is all the deals and financial advice that is offered on that website. That's where I found a Groupon (or was it Living Social) for Amazon $20 for $10 offer last week before I ever got the offer in my email. Tonight I found a deal posted there to get 4 years of Family Fun magazine for $14 and then I did a google search for a promotional code and saved another 12%.

We've been eating out at places we've found through restaurant and if you click through fatwallet you can get 24% cashback on your purchase and often there is a code for a certain percentage off. I've often gotten a $25 gc to a restaurant for $2 minus the 24% cashback so that saves a lot of money when we eat out.
