How much do you REALLY spend???

Not that much anymore with the DDP. That covers alot of our expenses.

We pay OOP for BBB which is $80
CD Photopass $125
souveniers for the kids, we let them pick out one thing everyday. They didn't even ask for somethig everyday.I neded up buying crocs for both DD"s which was our most costly souveir. Souveirs $200.00

Our package through AAA for 6 nights at POR, 2 adult and 2 children 6 day PArk Hopper, water park and fun tickets, DDP for 2 adults and 2 children came out to $2400.00.
airfare Southwest $280.00
JetBLue $400.00

Here are some notes regarding extra over and above the air and resort from a file I have regarding our 2006 Nov. 27-Dec 12th trip, where we stayed at the Pop Century for 15 nights with the dining plan/hoppers for 10 nights and paid a total of 4910 dollars which includes airfare and souvies and everything else. We got 10 day hoppers and then went to Universal Studios/IOA twice (seeing their scaled down version of the Macy's parade, finally!) and planned on doing Sea World also but Sea World somehow always falls by the wayside! Next trip I swear we are going though!! We did International Drive one day and that was fun since we don't live in the states right now, and we met a great family from Virginia while waiting for the bus back . We didn't do any parks on arrival day or departure day.

Food 5 days no dining program

Adult Breakfast Platter - scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuit, sausage, and bacon $5.59 x2 11 dollars for two
1/4-Pound Cheeseburger - served with your choice of fries or carrots $5.79; at Peco’s plus coke $2.29 or 16 dollars plus tax for two
Rainforest Cafe 1 house salad, 1 wings app, 1 wrap to split, 2 cokes = 30 dollars + tax or 234 kr plus tax and tip

Average days food for two = 57 dollars plus tax, tip and additional waters and snacks – say 100 dollars. Or 50 dollars each vs. 38 dollars each with the dining program.

Add money for Universal parks 200 annual passes- thinking positive!
Add money for Sea World 130
Add money for Souvies 200 dollars ( it wasn't enough! I suffer for this still!!)
Mears 24 each X 3 (now 30 dollars each)
Transportation to Pop free with Magical Express
Transportation to Kastrup 600 Swedish Kronor + 200 more for train- taxi plus train over Öresund Bridge to Kastrup Airport
Water delivered by grocery service GardenGrocer. com 80 dollars for water, bagels, paper plates, soft soap and a bit more.
Room 15 nights 1185 plus tax
MYW tickets for two 526 dollars
Airfare Sterling Air plus Virgin Atlantic - total 1300 dollars

Just my sister and I $6800 so far to AAA that is flight, 8 nights at AKL, and premium dinning. I dont know what else I will buy. But only bringing a extra $1000 in spending money. And maybe a surprise trip to the spa I am bringing a extra $500 for that.

Is this correct? = 2767

Sounds about right with the free DDP.

When we go I plan multiple trips around our AP. We have used up our AP for 07 and am now planning for 08.

In March my husband and I will go for five days. I am planning

Plane 400 (I just got a RT for 88 so I hope this will come down)
car 350 (I will also be spending 5 days with my DAD)
room 450 (lucky to have SOG)
AP 465
PAP 590 (husband likes water parks and will use in June for the BIG TRIP)
spend 750
-------------
total $3005 for two
---------------------
IN JUNE THE BIG TRIP for 12 days

Plane 800 for four (hoping for less)
car 500 (for minivan but hoping to get for much less)
room 1200 (approximate for SoG)
PAP 590 adult daughter
PAP 425 child grandson
spend 2400
---------------
total $5915 for three adults and one child. I usually bring home 400 to 600
------------
back from my spending cash to put towards the next trip.

I am curious to hear from those that expected everything to be one price, but once the trip was done and they looked at everything realized it was a totally different price.

We usually do a pretty good job of guessing what it will really cost.
My mom last year though was thousands off!!!!! There were lots of us though, and I think she went a bit overboard with the plastic!!

My friend and I have gone twice in the past two years, and neither time did we reach over 1600. We stayed 4 days/3 nights the first year, got the dining plan and attended MVMCP for around 1600. The second time we stayed 4 days/3 nights, attended MNSSHP, and went to Universal/IoA for around 1400.

I notice that we can eat for less than the dining plan offers. We're both in our 20's and we both get so caught up in everything, we tend to forget/not care to eat until we've gotten back to our room.

This year we're going to stay at Port Orleans (haven't picked one yet--already reserved Pop and waiting to upgrade) for 5 days/4 nights with water park and more tacked onto the park hopping option. Also going to Universal/IoA and MNSSHP twice. Once we upgrade hotels, this'll pretty much break the 1600 barrier already, but once everything is paid for, we can usually make the trip on about $400-600. Still, I tend to put away $2000-2500 just in case.

Okay... we spent about $6000 on our last trip.
Air for 5 from Minneapolis
6 nights at POR
7 day/ PH/ with DDP
Souveniers

We are budgeting $7000 for our upcoming trip.
Air for 5 from Minneapolis
8 nights at CSR (going with mom and sister, so we will send one kid in with them!)
9 day/ PH/ DDP
CRT -oop
Souveniers (not as many as last time!)

*** We might be able to do this slightly cheaper... but not really too much. That 5th person really ads up!

Because this next trips so long it'll cost quite a bit. 21 nights at POFQ, 21 day ultimate tickets and free dining is costing the equivalent of $4800. Airfare is $3200 for the two of us. Then we've got Universal tickets, Busch Garden tickets, airport pick ups, alcohol, and dinner at V&As. Overall I'm it expecting it to cost around $10,000.

kind of a blowout trip, pay back for the new Harley sitting in the garage.

10d/9n WL Woodsview, 8 day PH and free dining for 4 adults $3400.00
RT Flight from CT on SWA $548.00
Cirque tickets $320
Tampa Bay Game tickets $170
Rental car (2 days Mustang Convertable for DS) $125
US/IOA $20 (left over tix, $10 parking $10 upgrade DS's child's ticket, free lunch courtesy Entertainment book coupons!)
Richard Petty Drive around $50
Disney Visa Rewards card $550 in free $$
Actual cash $350

Total just shy of $5000. Did & bought anything & everything we wanted.

This year, just DD & me:

7d/6n Pop Century 6 day PH & free dining $1085
Flight (still hoping for less) $437
Cash $300
Disney Rewards card $200 free

Total about $1800 & expect that to drop to $1600 with a Ding.

Gotta love free dining to save $$$!!!

Actually, we stayed within $5 of our budget! We prepaid the VWL rental, airfare, petsitter and MYW passes. I had the money in our checking account for the 3 nts. at Pop, car rental, DDP, other restaurants on non-DDP portion of trip, gas and groceries. I separated cash for the three of us, each having what was budgeted for them for souvenirs and miscellaneous spending. I think the "cash only" system for general spending really helped us stay within budget.

Tickets: $0- using last 5 days left over from 10 day tix purchased in 2005.
Parking: $70
MNSSHP: $130

My husband is driving me crazy. He wants to take more money than what we need to. Our 7day/8 night, 6 day MYW tickets and Meal Plan for 4 was around $3500. I was thinking of taking $100 a day for spending money. Our children are taking their own money to spend. They have been saving from birthdays and Christmas and have plenty to spend. Not to mention Grandma is going and will buy what ever they want. Anyway, back to my husband. He wants to take $2000 for spending $$. I think that is way too much. We go to Disney every summer and have plenty of Disney tshirts and other items that I cant even tell you were they are. We leave tomorrow. I wll be checking his pockets before we go.

For the current trip in October... 2 Adults, 1 Child

8 nights AAA at Pop with Dining plan, park hoppers is $2119.95

Airfare with Airtran round trip $413.95

2 @ CRT breakfast OOP $65ish

1 Pirates cruise OOP $28.95 for child

We usually take around $300 spending for suvies and drinks.

Oh gosh... I don't know if I want to do this...

For our March trip, it was kind of a HUGE blowout trip for us, but it was SHORT! We live fairly close by, so this was pretty unusaly for us... we go about ever 2 years, but not this extravegant.

2 adults, 2 children

Gas (we drive from Tampa) - $30
Hotel (2 nights @ CR w/ MK view) - DDP - $1600
Souveniers (again, blow out... we bought anything and everything that struck our fancy this time) - $700
Princess breakfast @ Epcot, OOP - $100
Changed tickets from 1 day passes for all to FL resident Play 3 pass - $200

Total: $2630

Not so scary, right? BUT, remember this was only 3 days/2 nights :scared1: !

Yikes. Don't tell DH!

In December, we're planning to go for MVMCP and the CP at Epcot... I'm looking at...
2 nights WL - $540
MVMCP tickets - $200
1 day pass to Epcot - $225

I'm undecided about food... to DDP or not to DDP...

For our family for a week-9 days, I would say about $4000.

With my upcoming trip, I'm figuring $2500:

Pop century with 8 day PH plus water park: $1500 (my DM is paying the difference for the room since she's going too)
van rental: $300 (DM paying remaining difference of $200)
food: $0 (yeah for free dining)
gas: $150
souveniors: $300
cat boarding: $200
photo process: $50 (just an estimate as it could be more)

I may add on another $100-$200 just in case. My sons will have their own spending $, so I think I'm doing good.

I'm taking my mom and 3 kids for a budget trip for 10 days in June ...thank you SouthWest Ding fare!

Airfare for 4 from Hartford - $360
Regal Palms 4 bedroom townhouse - $345 (total is $690 but I'm splitting this with my mom)
Passes - 3 day hoppers left from previous trips. We will also do a couple free water park days that are included in these passes. Cost for this trip would be zero.
Car Rental - $230 for full size - my cost will be $115.
Leaving Car at Airport $70
CP - character lunch $75

Also have a Visa gift card my parents gave us for Xmas so that will pay for a couple meals and I redeemed credit card points for a couple other meals.

I'd say total will probably be $1500 with spending money for 10 days. We go pretty often so kids don't really care about the souvenirs anymore.

Wish I could go some place nice here in MA for that price for the same amount of time. Funny how Disney is our cheap vacation.

"Yea, we're going to Disney for a few days in September" kind of thing. :lmao: They don't know they will be eating with Cinderella, the other Princesses, Lilo & Stitch, Donald, Mickey, and Pooh & friends. :cloud9: They will be going horseback riding for the first time ever! It depends on whether or not we have to renew our AP and what type of rate we're getting, where we're staying, and all that good stuff but it seems like we will spend about $2,800 for our July trip. We're staying at the Beach Club for 7 nights and we snagged a nice rate of $194. plus tax. We drive down (only 8 1/2 - 9 hours for us) and we have a Prius so gas isn't horrible. We budget $125 a day for food and throw in another $300 for "this and that."

if we were to have to renew our AP's I guess you could add about $840 to that. Unless AP's have gone up recently, which is entirely possible.

It seems like our trips usually run $2,500 - $3,500 depending on when we're going and where we're staying and if our AP is current. It's only me and DH, I can't imagine paying for 2 or 3 kids. WOW!
