for Cable internet or television service...

They just raised the rates on our cable bill. Internet service went up from $39.95 to $42.95. My monthly bill hasn't changed sinced they lowered the rates of other services. I'm topped out at $105/month for tv and internet and all the fees they need to charge us.

I like the digital cable service, but to downgrade and keep the channels I would want, I'd only save $10/month. I'd lose some movies channels that we don't watch all that often, and I'd miss the on-screen guide that tells us what's on tv.

I vote for a la carte cable television. There are plenty of channels that we pay for each month that we never watch.

We pay $49.00 a month for analog cable with no movie channels.

It's out of control! We pay $60+ a month for digital cable, NO PREMIUM stations (no HBO, etc.) We pay similar for our local phone service, and about $25 a month for dialup internet.

Our total cable/internet bill is 90.00. We just downgraded from digital, which used to cost 106.00 a month. That was just insane, we hardly watched some of the channels anyway. I also vote for ala carte cable service.

A flat rate of $400 for 4 channels. Since we are in europe and we want american TV we paid a flat rate of $400 for a satellite dish and decoder that we will have the entire time we live here.

We pay 100$ for digital and cable internet...no premium channels.....and 2 outlets...it is a rip!...I would go to Satellite but it rains here so much I'd never get to watch anything!

I wouldn't give up the cable internet though...I'm so impatient...!

(Ouch 400$ for 4 channels!~ what I'm I complaining for?..)

I have a bundle package that typically runs right at $225 a month.
$110 for a bazillion and a half channels
$50 for cable modem service
$65 for phone service

HOLY CANOLI!

You guys are paying some HIGH prices! I thought ours were steep, but not anymore!!

Dial up internet $19.95 (Second phone line about $17/month)

Soon to upgrade to ......
Cable internet/TV (non digital).... $40/month (about a wash when you eliminate the second phone line.

Our phone will be under $20/month.

So for cable, internet access and phone we will pay around $60 a month. From all of the other posts, I am feeling like this is very reasonable now!!!!

I pay around $110 a month. That's Digital cable with HBO/Starz and the cable modem. Starting next month it will be $150 a month for four months because I get MLB Extra Innings. They let you pay for it over four months (at $40 per) which makes it a lot easier.

I'm looking at my cable bill and it is $122. That includes cable modem, digital box for one TV, HBO, Cinemax, & premium pack so we can get Toon Disney and other good kids channels, and one PPV movie for 3.95. Our cable is $74.02 and cable modem is $48.85. We should get rid of Cinemax because I don't think there has been a decent movie on that channel in months. We keep HBO for their original series more than the movies. Cable is really high but we still pay less for our cable modem than we did for dial-up because we had to have 2 phone lines.

No cable available here :(

We pay about $38 a month for satellite service including HBO.
$22 for dial-up

DS (in the big city ;) ) pays $40 for cable modem and basic cable service.

We pay $29 for satellite(no premium channels), $39.95 for dsl hookup and phone bill runs about $60.

to further elaborate
basic service (broadcast channels) $11.30
standard service (basic cable except TBC, AMC & Discovery)
+$28.25
TBS/AMC/Discovery +2.75
Horizon Choice - 5 channels incl. ESPN2, Oxygen, Outdoor Life +$2.25
Digital Plus - 45 music channels & 39 add'l channels incl. Flix (2), Encore(2), at least 4 other movie channels in pairs (east & west) WAM, Toon Disney & more + $13.95
High Speed Internet + $42.95

We have one digital converter, no premium movies channels and one cable modem.

I see from your posts that I'm paying about the same as everyone else, so I feel more reassured that we're not being "robbed". When will it come to cable choice? We can pick our electric supplier and telephone provider, when will the cable companies offer the same option? My MIL's cable tv company charges less and offers more channels.

My phone bill averages under $50 with caller-id and some long distance (which I try to use my wireless phone for on weekends).

phone bill $70
dial up internet service $12.95
digit cable $75
grand total $158

I guess we are paying the average
but I don't really feel any better about it

for internet access, digital cable for 1 TV, regular cable access for 2 more TVs. On the digital cable TV we get the HBO channels in addition to about 90 regular channels (we probably only watch about 10 of those - and I hardly ever watch the 10 or so HBOs we get). On the regular cable TVs we get 76 channels.

We have our own modem, purchased at Best Buy. This saves us $5 per month.

My cable bill is approximately $120 a month.
That includes:

internet access
digital cable
extended basic cable
Showtime package
HBO package
Starz package

I should add that this is for 1 tv

$94.00 per month. That is a package deal with a pretty basic digital tv service - no pay channels - and very high speed internet service. 1.5mbps. I've thought about lowering the service a bit to save 10 or 20 bucks but haven't done it yet.

we pay about $80 for basic cable and some premium channels (hbo, showtime, cinemax). we don't get internet from our cable company.
