Today was BEACH day!!!
We drove to Starbucks (yes, Andy, Mark, Tim and anyone else who wants to chime in, we went AGAIN) as I can't start my day without my coffee.
We then drove to the parking area for the beach, parked the car, hit the restroom (as there are none on the beach) and walked the two blocks to the beach. And this is what we saw:
It was a beautiful day to be at the beach. We set up our chairs, took off our bathing cover ups, put on our water shoes (those seashells are rough on the feet) and started walking the beach to collect seashells to add to my collection at home and to give some to Alisha who has a seashell themed bathroom like her future mother-in-law.
We had a visit from a friend or two:
We hung at the beach until around 12:00 and then went back to the condo for lunch.
After lunch, we headed back to an empty pool once again (love this time of year...there is no one at the pool but Mark and I with an occasional visit from one lady who visits every year).
Floral around the pool area:
I found a friend as I was walking back to our building to get ready for dinner that evening:
We were meeting Nicki and Todd at the Sand Bar, the Marco Island sports bar. In ALL of the years that Nicki and Todd have lived in Naples and Nicki has worked on the Island, Todd had NEVER been to the Sand Bar.

It's a great little spot, a hangout for the locals, with lots of televisions and good food (well, except for Todd's meal).
My patty melt:
Nicki's some kind of salad:
Todd's pizza--and absolutely horrible (think Domino's...only worse):
He would have been better off sticking with just this for his dinner:
Mark's dinner (I don't remember what kind of sandwich he got...Monte Cristo, maybe):
Mark and Todd:
Me and Sis:
It was another perfect day in paradise--the ocean, the pool and dinner with our best friends.
Up next, we take a drive to find some seashells in Ft. Myers
