How much do you budget?

We needed to budget last Christmas. I bought four adult AP's as well as five nights at CSR and offsite, plus the usual Christmas expenses. I figured $150/day for my husband and I and our two teens. Some days we spent more but some days we spent less. It did average out to $150, though,

Last week we spent three nights at the Swan paid for by my husband's workplace. We didn't feel the need to budget as much and probably spent closer to $200/day with more Disney TS restaurants.

Btw, we enjoyed both experiences.

Before we chose the dining plan (when I was checking to see if it was worth it for us) I looked at all the menus and figured out how much we would spend a day based on where and what we wanted to eat. It averaged to about $80 a day for me and hubby (so we went with the dining plan). Some days would have been a lot higher then the $80 but a couple of days would have also been a lot lower, so it would have averaged out.

When I checked what we ate back when we went in 2001 it averaged to about $80 a day as well, so it seemed like a decent budget for the two of us.

This trip we are on free dining but we also like alcohol occationally and we booked a couple of extra meals that we won't be using the dining plan for. So we budgeted an extra $20-40 a day in additional to the dining plan costs to get all the restaraunts and extras we wanted while we are there.

We are a family of 5 and we budget about $60 per day.
We stop at the grocery store on our way from the airport and buy
breakfast food and dinners for a few nights. So we only spend $ for
in the park snacks and lunch.
We always go to 1 character meal a trip, too.

We splurge at WDW We spend $65-$75 per day per person on meals and snacks. Part of that expense is because I enjoy a cocktail or two, or more
