How much do you budget for souveneirs?

We are a family of 3. DH and I are taking our 3.5 yo dd. Grandma and Grandpa are also going along on the trip.

We were just wondering how much we should budget out for souveneirs, and extra things.

We have the dining option...no major meals to go to that will be out of pocket.

Any input would be great..thanks

for a 3.5 year old, I would let them spend about $30 or so.

I want my daughter to have a special toy that will help her to remember our trip, not 7 small ones that I sell at a garage sale in a year. She is now 8 and saves her own spending money. This year she has $125 she has saved. She will get $15 each day we are there to spend. She can either spend it, or save it to add to the next days money. The past three trips we have done this and she usually saves it all and then gets 2 or 3 nice things the last two days we are there. It also saves us from going to every gift shop in every park. Just to add....we keep track of all her money in a check register. She can see her balance and we take out what she spends. This way she does not worry we are spending "her" money on our stuff.

But that is what we do.

we have 3 DisKids, so budgets are essential! I ALWAYS shop at the Disney store as soon as we have ressies (clearance items, of course!) and save them for the trip. Them, each morning when we leave for the parks, I "forget" something in the room and dispense gifts from "Tinkerbell." This can also be done at night while they are sleeping for them to wake up to. On the second day of our stay, "Tink" leaves $10 in Disney dollars per kid to spend however they would like. (Yes, there are actually items/toys, etc to be purchased for about $10!) Have fun!
