How much do you budget for snacks?

On our last trip to WDW, we didn't really snack on anything. No Mickey Bars, popcorn, Dole Whips, etc. Just basically ate meals.

We're leaving soon, and I don't know what to budget for snacks. (Just two adults, no children.) I don't want to budget too low, but yet I don't want to estimate to high either!

What do you budget for snacks? Did this work for you, or did you under/over budget that amount? How many snacks per day do you eat?

BTW, we'll be there two weeks.

Thanks to all,

We don't budget our money in advance, but as for what we usually spend on snacks...

We'll usually do one purchased snack each day - ice cream, popcorn, candy, bakery item, etc. We also usually carry some snack food in with us - granola bars, pop-tarts, raisins, etc.

So I'd say we probably spend about $2-4 per person per day. Sometimes one snack, like a box of popcorn, will be shared between the 3 of us. Other days, we each get something, like an ice cream treat.

i budget $10 per snack for 2 people. this usually works out for me. there are certainly times when you might not spend the whole $10 but for the most part, even if we split a snack like popcorn, i usually spent the rest on beverages. at most parks, 2 ice cream bars or waterices and you are nearing $10.

by the way, my mom is the biggest snack junkie in the world. (she must have one every hour) and she spends around $10 a day just for her so if you are like her then i would take more.

I budget about $20 a day each for various drinks, snacks, fries and ice cream. We're two adults and will be there for 5 days , with 5 more days at other Orlando attractions.

We are both lught eaters, however, one of us (me) has a blood sugar problem and when my blood sugar drops, i get all shaky and need sugar quickly. I usually carry a candy bar or apple in my purse so I can make sure I always have something.

In the event that I forget or that the one snack in my purse is not enough, I have to budget more for emergency sugar needs.

Thanks for your replies!

I'm thinking about budgeting $20 per day on snacks for two adults. We usually only eat breakfast and dinner while in WDW, so if we spend more on snacks, I guess that's ok.

Still like to hear from others as well! Post your stratagy on budgeting for snacks.

Thanks,

We are a family of 3 (2 adults & DS 10). I budget $12.00 a day for drinks and snacks. We don't bring any food with us to the parks. We do however, bring 2 waterbottles to start the day off. That is usually good until lunch time. We usually eat an early lunch (11:30 am) to avoid the lunch crowds. Then we almost always have a snack duing the parades (except Epcot of course). However, it's usually something like popcorn, candy, or ice cream. The soft pretzels are huge and filling for 2 people as a snack. I usually budget a little more for snacks at Epcot because we like sampling some of the "desserts" from the different countries!!!

Seems to me that different people might have different snack habits. One suggestion is to think about how many/what kind of snacks your party might eat, then visit this site, which lists prices for the different food items at each eatery.

I don't have a snack budget, but I do budget for food and out of that, comes our snacks. We are also two adults and I budget $100 a day for food. We eat mostly fast food type foods, though, with one character meal. I have always come home with leftover money, no matter where we vacationed. We will probably spend close to the amount budgeted, since we won't be staying at the All Stars, where we usually ate most of our meals on past trips...we're going to miss that food court! :( From that last statement...you can tell our eating habits...we're not into the fancy stuff! :D

I don't budget for snacks.
Before heading to disney I always buy some prepackaged snack items that fit easily in a fanny pack that I can break out during the day.

Sandwich Crackers are my fav and always tide me over until the next meal or get me through a long line! :)
Poptarts, granola bars, small packets of peanuts or trail mix....
I'm pretty cheap when it comes to spending money at the parks on food!
