How much do taxis cost inbetween disney hotels / property.

We live in an area where there are no Taxis so I have no idea how much a cab costs or how its determined..

We will be staying at All Star Movies but want to do a few early ADRs at different resorts but don't want to stress over making a bus on time.

Just wondering if anyone has taken a cab and if so how much.. Also do u book the cab a day before or call a hour or so ahead for pickup?

We've cab'd it more then a few times for ADRs.. CBR to BC for Cape May, POR to CR for Chef Mickey, POFQ to the YC for Captains Grille, Pop to CR for Wave... it is usually in the $15 to $17 range before tip.

You can get a cab by going to the front entrance of the resort and having concierge call, you can also call from your room, Mear's is usually a good choice - there have been stories of people being ripped off by rogue cabbies - so always be sure who you are callling.

Every time we have taken a taxi at WDW, we have just gone out to the entrance of the hotel and the valets have called us one right then. We've never had to wait more than a few minutes for it to arrive.

Jus back a few weeks ago, this is how we did it. BCV to Contemporary was $15.

Fares are by distance, plus wait time in heavy traffic.

BCV is pretty much dead center of WDW; the All-Stars are further out. So fares from ASR to MK resorts would be closer to $20 than $15.

If you want to estimate a specific trip, map the route on Google Maps or any other reliable mapping site, and note the driving distance. The fare is $2.40 per mile + $1.80 "flag drop". Add a couple of bucks for wait time and then a tip.

Several taxis are usually staged in each of the All-Stars parking lots, and come over to the Porte Cochere when needed.

There is never a need to call one in advance. Just walk out of the hotel and have bell services call one up for you - they're always waiting just out of sight.

We assume $20 plus tip within Disney property, if its a little less its a bonus!
