How Much Disney Can I do in a NON Disney Trip

Day 3 or is it still Day 2
Got back to the hotel and to bed and slept for three and a half hours. Was back up and at the Convention center at 7:00am…I had told the staff to be there by 8:00 and I have to say I have the best staff because all of them filtered in between 7-7:15 and Rusty brought me Dunkin doughnuts coffee which as you can imagine was a gift from God at that point! We got the booth built and when the show opened at 12:00, we were ready!!
For those who have never been to a Comic book Convention it is a mix of people from all walks of life and from all age groups….it is also a mix of the washed and the unwashed but that is another tangent all together …
I do have pics but am having trouble making it photobucket work and not sure why?Although I am pretty sure it is a user error on my part

The show ran until 7:00pm by the time we had all the money counted and the booth tarped-not in that order it was 7:30, I had survived the day by the skin of my teeth but here is my conundrum-
I had dinner ressies for four (at the time I made them I thought a couple of friends might be joining us) at Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge at 8:10 and my first ever official Dis Meet… I could barely keep my eyes open; I had been texting GaRain this entire time with updates so she knew what was going on and I think would have understood but I did not want to back out! So I look at the owner of Stylin who is also one of my best friends and say I am going-he then says "I am coming along to cause you are not going to meet a total stranger by yourself"…he does not understand
a. I have never met a stranger
b. That there are no strangers on the Dis-strange people yes strangers no.
Although I did appreciate his concern! So we jump in the car and as we are pulling at of the Convention Center, I notice that 4 is a parking lot, so I head the back way to Disney, as I am pulling under The WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT sign I get a text -GaRain is there and they let her check us in!! WHOOHOO… we arrived and walked in… I see Garain-we had friended each other on Facebook so we could see what the other one looked like. And there was a big hug…it was like meeting an old friend!

Dinner was great. My boss had no idea what he was in for when GaRain asked for the ketchup!!! And then there was the horse race, no Hokey Pokey but maybe next time…I had some sort of all you can eat skillet and boss man had the same thing, Can’t remember what GaRain had but I do remember they no longer had her favorite Chicken on the menu…food was good, not great but good-of course this could be cause I was a little tired… We hung out talking for a while…and were all set to order dessert when our waitress tells no more of the banana concoction that I had been told by everyone to order…GaRain and I made an executive decision…we headed over to the Poly for –you know it-Dole whip cause all though Rosie might be the Duchess of Dole Whip…I am the addict of Dole Whip… Bossman decided to stay in the car to give GaRain and me “girl time” but as it turns out when we got back to the car, Bossman was SOUND asleep….I drove GaRain back to Pop Century-which I had never seen and was so very cool…I liked the Cell phone and the huge Rubik cubes…
Made it back to the hotel, woke the Bossman up and was in my hotel room and in bed by I think 11:30.
My first Dis Meet was AWESOME, GaRain and I had a blast and liked each other enough to meet again on Monday.
Day 3=Tired but got a Dis and a Disney fix in does it get any better than that?

Can anyone tell me how to do that multi-quote thing?
I was so glad to see them arrive - I was afraid I was going to have dinner by myself! It would have been ok, I did the hokey pokey...
I ordered the meatloaf - specifically so that I would have something I needed ketchup for!
I was amazed at the pictures of the booth they had set up - I can understand all the work they put in, it was HUGE!
Dole Whips were awesome! Remember, build the walls, fill in the middle and then build it up -get your $$$$ worth!!!
Thanks for the ride back to Pop! Was dreading the Disney Bus Dance!!!

It was a nice way to do Disney with out paying to get into the park and it put me in that Disney frame of mind-my happy place which as you can tell I needed later!

And I see you are a D23 Charter me to, I just reupped and got my cal!

I LOVE D23!! I got my calendar a few weeks ago. It is so awesome!

I don't know how you made it through the day with a little over 3 hours of sleep. You must have been so exhausted! I'm so glad you made your DIS meet!! Whenever we go to Whispering Canyon it always seems that someone in my family must ask for ketchup

Day 4-
What that can NOT be the alarm going off but sadly it was…worked the convention from 7:30am until 6:30pm. Then was invited to dinner by the man who puts on the Baltimore Comic Con….I agreed to go and we ate at a place called Caiera’s on Dr Philips Blvd-if any one is ever looking for a great meal off property at a good price-Eat here!! The bad news is No Disney for me…the good news my new bud-GaRain texted me updates throughout the day so I got to vicariously do Disney through her!!!!GO GaRAIN!!!!!

Day 5
Finally some sleep- This was the last day of my convention and since it was Sunday, I did not have to get there until 9:30am, the bad news because it was Sunday we had tear down after the show.
Putting up a 20X40 Mobile store is a pain in the, well you know, tearing it down is the easy part or would be if it wasn’t at the end of a long day. Tear down ended and we took the staff to Denny’s(Where you should only go if you want poor service and heart burn-this Denny's there are better ones out there) and handed out tickets to Universal, sorry Disney fans but Universal gives me a break on – group pricing and because of my annual pass another pricing break. So that took care of the staff…in the mean time GaRain and I had been texting- She had the Keys to the Kingdom tour in the morning and I had been invited to enjoy Magic Kingdom with The Baltimore con gang!! So tomorrow my FULL day at Disney and my love of the Magic Kingdom! Will I embarrass the heck out of GaRain, will I get one more Dole Whip (ok really is there any question) Will I get to ride HM? Please join me tomorrow for my last installment.
