How much did your wedding cost?

Ours was approx 60K and we had 31 guests.

20K to Disney ~ Wedding Pavilion, Whitehall room, Illuminations French Upper
5K Videography ~ Jeffrey Stoner
10K Photography ~ Julia Bailey (Airfare, hotel, park tickets & Photography package)
10K Floral ~ Flourish Production
15K Misc. ~ rings, dress, tux, invites, rehearsal dinner, etc.

Ooh! Ooh! I remember these threads being really helpful when I was planning my wedding, and now I can add my own post...

Our Wishes wedding for 34 people came to $10,070, plus tax and service charge, which worked out to $11,586.56 total.

We had no DJ, no centerpieces, no bridesmaids, and no alcohol, and we used outside vendors for photo and video ($2,800 total).

But we did have a dessert party, a friendship boat, and the MK photo shoot. Oh and lots and lots of charter buses...

Friendship boats are those boats that take you around Epcot and from Epcot to the Yacht & Beach Club, the Swan & Dolphin, and the BoardWalk Inn. We had one take us from the ceremony in Morocco to the BoardWalk for the reception. It was $250 one-way and held 50 people.

The important thing to remember is that only a portion of your total costs is attributed t Disney. You are still going to have cost of rings, dress, suit, honeymoon, etc which adds up quickly.

We are having an Escape wedding next week at SBP for 18 people.

Our only upgardes is a small amount of floral, and addional champagne.

Disney gets 4,558.

But our rings, HM at Disney, dress (Davids- NOT couture), suit, marriage license, officiant cost, hosting a wedding dinner, outside photography alll adds up quickly.

So our total budget was about 17k, so you can see how what goes to Disney can only be a tiny portion of your budget.

Decide the items that are really important to splurge on. For us it was Misty our potgrapher (and she is affordable and amazing) our rings since we will have those forever, and hosting a fance dinner for everyone.

Since we now have everything paid for I can put up my total! For the Disney side of the event including outside photographer, our grand total came to $17,200. Cost includes,

-- Wedding Pavilion
-- Mini Motorcoach with 2 stops
-- Reception at California Grill including Signature Bar Package and 6 bottles of Rosa
-- Bridal and Made of Honor Bouquet, Centerpieces, and Floral Unity Candle Arrangement
-- Dessert Party at Lower UK with Desserts Created by You Package
-- 8 Hour Photography Package with Randy Chapman
-- Magic Kingdom Portrait Session

oh!! I didn't think about dresses and all the stuff I bought on land..I was just thinking what I paid Disney

Hmm..I couldn't tell ya. My dress was $500 from Alfred Angelo my DD's dress was $125 less 25% because I bought it from AA
Shoes were from JCPenny's..I did tip my onboard wedding coordinator and the musician.
Carrie explained to me you don't need to tip professionals, but since these people are DCL employees and just happen to do the onboard ceremonies..I gave them nice tips...especially since the musician played a specific piece for our ceremony

This might sound silly (as I'm only 18 and not anywhere near ready to tie the knot) but this thread has helped me. I told me parents that when I get married someday my dream is a WDW wedding. Seeing how some people have pulled that off for under 10K is very encouraging- hopefully when I am ready to marry I can get to have the wedding of my dreams!
