How much did you spend on your dvc membership

I’m curious, how much in US$ did you spend total on initial buy in into DVC?

We’re “old-timers”. I don’t remember the exact price, but it was a tad under $13,000 in 1992 for 230 points (the minimum) at OKW (then known as The Disney Vacation Club). The incentive was free park passes until 2000 (except for the AK).

Our initial purchase was resale $13545 including dues and closing costs. This was for 100 Saratoga points.

Since then…so so much more!

about $10000 for total (including closing, title, etc.) for 85 points at AKL in 2018. Flat fee of $195 to Fidelity, yearly dues (~500) paid in advance. Cost of points only was about $8,800.

Probably not a great deal but it was actually two small contracts (35+50) which at the time was appealing for potential resale value. Now I know I'll likely hold on to the points until the end

We are now at just over 1,000 points with about 350 of those direct.

I guess total lol I’m hoping someone will show me I’m not alone…spent about 70k for all my contracts for this past year keep adding on points

We used those funds plus some to buy 150 direct at OKW for $22,411.20, 160 resale at AKV for $15,311.00, and 85 resale at BRV for $8,689.00. So, for our 395 points, we are looking at $46,411.20.

$10,800 for 120 points at Vero Beach 12 years ago, direct (including closing costs). Have added on 9 times since then to total 700 points over 4 home resorts, all direct, all paid in full.

Bought and sold a lot over the years to get to the 900 I am now...no clue what it has cost and don't want to even figure it out!!!

It really would be hard to say because I have bought/sold about 8 contracts over the 15 years, and some I ended up with a profit that I used to buy other contracts...but I can say that the current contracts I own cost me $123K....but, as I said, made profits on some of what I sold so its less than that....
