I posted this over on the pin board too.
Before getting a pin code in the mail today, we had previously booked 2 rooms at Pop with nothing else. Talked to dh today and decided to just buy the park tix too thru Disney because we are using gift cards from credit card points to pay for this trip. (staying 3 nights so 2 day parkhoppers). When we booked the rooms we received the discount on the Value resort rooms (15% I think). If we had added on park tickets it would have been $1754. With my pin, adding on the free dining (but losing the hotel discount) the total came to $1927. Without the code he quoted me $2090 for what we got for $1927. I feel like its even more of a deal because we are a family of 6 so had we not bought the plan we would have spent well over the $200 xtra ($1754 versus $1927) in just one day!

Nope, only 1 discount can be added to a reservation. Doesn't matter what type...AAA, AP, public, pin, etc...they can't be combined.

I was forced to do the happy dance alone because it was almost 11pm ET and everyone was in bed when my discount came through this week. I had seen the advertisements for 40% off room only. Reading through numerous Disney info sites, I stumbled across a little info indicating the room only discount could be used even when you have booked a Magic Your Way pkg. I had booked a MYW package with dining and tickets at Beach Club CL last September.

I was sure it wouldn't apply but after one hour on the phone with a CM, I came away with almost a $1600 discount! The percentage came off of the room portion of the package. Percentages differed depending on level of hotel.

I couldn't believe it -nothing ever seems to work out that way for us!

Hmm. Got the free dining pin and went from 2380 to 2080. That is for 2 adults, 1 child at POFQ for 6 nights, 5 day MYW tics and the regular dining plan. Now I am wondering if I could do better.

What is a bounce back offer?

In case you haven't found out yet.....a bounceback offer is a discount that you get while you're at WDW. There is usually a flyer of some kind in your WDW resort room that shows the discount and dates that it covers etc. You have to book it before you check out and pay a deposit. A friend sent me the text on the bounceback flyer from her room (this was from about a year and a half or so ago)

"Pick a date before it's too late! Save up to 40% on your next Disney resort stay if you book before you check out. Just book your reservation and make a deposit (one night's room rate plus tax) on or prior to your checkout date."
