How much did you pay for your flight?

Got lucky for my August trip and only paid $125 RT PP for non stop flights.

I'd say average is anywhere from $240 on the low end to $350 on the high end RT PP. (at least that's what I'm willing to settle for but sometimes I see a one way for $634 per person and I'm like "no f-ing way" and will pick different dates or drive.)

Our spring break flights are now up to $818 per person round trip on SW.

We booked as soon as the schedule was released for $505 a person.

If SW didn't offer the direct flights we would certainly be using one of the big 3 instead.

We haven’t purchased spring break flights yet, IND to MCO. We usually fly SW because it is nonstop. I have checked all the airlines and they are all over $800.00 rt pp. I’m hoping prices come down.

Yea I hope they come down as with a family of 4 that is $3,200. At that price even though it is direct we will deal with a layover and paying for bags.

All my MCO flights have been $5.60 each direction. I've only flown on points for the last 3 years. 25k skymiles RT for January, 13k AAdvantage Miles for the end of this month, and 18k SW points for last January. Between credit cards and business travel I get a enough to keep me going for a while.

I just flew one way from MCO-MSP for $149 on Sunday on Delta.

MSP-MCO in 2 weeks on Delta for 24,600 miles + taxes round trip.

MSP-MCO in October on Delta for $297 round trip.

I just ended up booking with Delta because I got an email of a price drop. Ended up paying $269/person for main cabin.

I found an old receipt from our 2020 trip and we paid $306 so I’m satisfied with todays price.

Nice. We scheduled a trip next Feb with dates that were during a break in my son's online classes - now he decided to not take that program, and we're stuck with dates (DVC rooms) that I'm watching hover in the $500's. REALLY hoping this comes down, it's bad enough our trip overlaps a holiday weekend.

Airline (traditional, LCC, etc)

If I can get a RT flight out of my home airport for ~$300, I'm happy. I'd jump for joy if it got down to $250. This is assuming main cabin or better.

My ?? is why in the world does everyone need to carry on a bag when they give you two to check in the first place!!

I understand not wanting to wait at baggage claim but for those who need to check luggage anyway why do you need a carry on as well??? When we arrive at MCO baggage claim it seems like at least a 1/3 of the plane has the rolling 20" suitcases with them before the first checked bag arrives on the belt.

Now, I agree, assuming you have checked bags, each person doesn't need a carry on and a personal item. But we pretty much get 3-4 peoples stuff into one carry on and then check a bag or two.

On the way home, I'll check that carry on (because I already have clothes at home in case the checked bags are delayed). But on the way TO somewhere? Yes, carry on all of the time.

Not loving the new times either (why the heckenspeck would I want to lv LGA, fly to BOS and then MCO?? They lost their minds), have no points for anyone else so I’m Amtraking down at least. Staying DVC this December so decided to make use of the kitchen; another reason the train is worthy since I can bring a cooler filled with frozen food for free. Maybe I’ll fly back but haven’t looked at the schedule yet.

Yes I have and was reimbursed promptly through my CSR card. Granted I realize not everyone has insurance and there are certainly cases for carrying on but it just drives me nuts on SW when they don’t charge for TWO bags.

It’s beyond insurance from my POV. Meds are definitely a difficult to get replaced item for instance. Tbh I rarely check any luggage but I can normally pack everything into one carry on no matter the trip length.

I’m not checking medication either. I’m also not packing it in a 20” rolling carryon that I was complaining about people taking on the plane and then retrieving more luggage at baggage claim. This has nothing to do with items that easily fit under the seat like a purse or a small bag.

I realize there are reasons people take carryons and that is fine. It is when the families of 4 that are picking up their 8 checked bags and they are waiting with their 4 20” rolling carryons which is what I was complaining about.

If a bag is lost that is certainly not good for anyone but nobody should be checking medication that is needed an a regular basis.

-DTW Detroit
-Non stop. Too risky having connection flights in the midwest winters.
-Delta

Phila to Mco, RT about $300, starting date after thanksgiving. Was higher, but saw prices come down a few times. We had booked a combo of gift card, credit and points.

The TOTAL cost of your ticket will relate to where/when you travel, how far in advance you purchased your ticket and if you have to pay extra for a seat or checked bag(s). Too many variables to easily compare what others have paid. Online websites only show the 'base' ticket price. All other add-ons are extra and they seem to do that on purpose to make comparisons more challenging.

I feel like these days I have trouble flying anywhere for less than $500 per ticket.
