I was just whining about not going to Disney at Spring Break and Baylor suggest we go to the Salt Mines at Hutchinson Kansas. They keep some very famous articles there. Lots of films and documents. I'm like you don't understand. I Want To Go To Disney!
All the same I don't get to.

The Salt Mines could be interesting, but it's no Walt Disney World!

Oh yes, we saw the airline pictures... but what I want to see is what happened between touch down landing and our fated DIS meet hour of 7pm...

I think I did it! I was going to comment on my PTR and wrap up my TR, but I think that will have to wait until tomorrow. Since it is supposed to only be in the 30s here and I have all my chores (except laundry) done for Monday and oatmeal cranberry cookies ready for eating, I can DIS all day if I want.

Just hope the boards are back up and running by morning.

Our motley crew boarded the plane in Dallas for the much longer leg of the flight to Orlando. Marc, Baylor and I sat directly in front of Keely, Matt, Megan and Harper. When Harper became restless they passed her up to us and we entertained her for a bit...
At one point Matt bolted for the restroom and didn't return for a long, long time....
Harper started fussing for her mom so I passed her back and noticed that Megan wasn't looking so good, in fact she had lost all of the color in her face. Keeley took her and did her best to keep Harper happy so the other passengers didn't become upset with us.
Matt was ill, Megan was ill, and we were landing...
We made it off of the plane and set off for the airport monorail.
Both Megan and Matt thought they needed the restroom first so we made the stop.
This was our first flight on American so we were on the other side of the airport, Marc and I were totally turned around, off we went in search of ME leading these poor sick people, pushing a toddler, dragging our carry on luggage heading in the direction we always went, but not seeing what we usually saw, realizing we were actually lost in the Orlando airport.

What did we do?

I stopped.

and asked.

Back up the elevators we went.

Back across the airport we walked.

Back down the elevators we went.

Matt wasn't looking to bad at this point but Megan looked like death.
We found M.E.
They pointed us to the line for AKV so we lined up, it really wasn't too long. We stood for a couple of minutes.
Megan said "I think I need the bathroom".
I pointed.
She ran.
I said "I don't think she's going to make it"
Keeley went to check....
She made it but it wasn't good.

We were loading and she wasn't out of the bathroom.

Matt was going to wait if the bus left and come later with her. So we went ahead to the bus.
They ended up making it before it left and sitting in the back by the restroom.
OY what a ride!

We are welcomed home at Kidani Village without any incident even though Megan felt just awful the entire ride there.

Up next, are we ever going to get to check in?

The update was pretty short.

I'm still a little unsure about our pictures at this point. We are missing a camera cable.

Harper looks so happy and adorable! She's ready to go! Poor Megan and Matt though. Bad enough to be sick, but to be on a plane/bus/away from home, even worse. Of course, knowing that Disney was waiting could make you feel just a tad better! I hope they both recover quickly!

So, are we ready to go back to school tomorrow??? I know I am NOT!

Oh, poor Megan and Matt! So not the way you want to get acquainted with the Orlando airport -- by visiting the restrooms! I hope this illness moved through their system quickly, and it didn't visit anyone else.

That is just the pits! Being sick is bad enough, but being sick while traveling is the worst. I always say extra prayers for health when we travel. And then I hose the hotel room down with Lysol. I wanted to spray down my seat on the plane too, but I didn't think that would go over well with the other passengers. Plus there's that whole ban on aerosols thing! Hope things got better for your group quickly!
