How Much Did I Pay For This Self Inflicted Fun? A Wigdout trip report.

I guess that what I don't understand about the flat ironing of Keely's hair is that she did it at night and then went to bed...wouldn't that just make it not-so-flat in the morning? :confused3 Or is it just me that gets bed-head?

I like the Nemo ride, but I don't think I'd wait in any kind of real line for it. Every time I have been it has been a walk on. :thumbsup2

I am glad the baby swap worked out well for you all. Can't wait to see where lunch is. I'm hungry. (I guess it's that diet that I am on. Oh, wait, I mean lifestyle change. ;))

Hannah's school had a two hour delay, with teachers going in at the regular time. That wind and rain was crazy last night! I wasn't too thrilled with the 5:00 a.m. phone call and then 30 minutes later getting the same phone call in Spanish. There's got to be a way to program that thing so it knows to call only Spanish speaking households with that message!QUOTE]

We must live fairly close to each other. I only got one connect-ed message... didn't get one in Spanish!

Our kids had Monday, Thursday and Friday off last week too, so my girls were thrilled.

Nothing flooded at our school or house, but lots of streets in our city were flooded. There were some rescues during the night. There is an area of town where the waters were so high they had to close the exits to the interstate.

I'm in Concord. Hannah was out the same days last week. Even though I told her yesterday that school was on a two hour delay she thought that meant she got to stay home. Uhhhhh...no! LOL Today is business as usual.

What a lovely first ride for Harper and it obviously wore her out as she looks so cute asleep on your lap :goodvibes

 Tell my daughters that please....! Rachel spent all that time on her hair, then rode Splash Mt. early on ,and POOF---the hair was big!

I got the best anti-humidity spray this year that actually worked on my hair!!

Congrats to Baylor on this 3 pt shot!:cool1: Hope you are feeling better.

Love the update. That picture of Harper on your lap is so great! My kids loved Nemo this time too. Last time it scared them. :confused3 Love your Life is Good Hoodie. I made the kids Life is Good Nemo ones. I have pictures from our first day at Epcot on our trip report. But unfortunately didn't get a good picture of all three of them in their shirts. :sad2:

And I am guessing Coral Reef too for lunch. :)

Stephanie

Love 50's PTC! That smores dessert looks sooo good! :lovestruc

I'm just not feeling well, I haven't been to the doctor but think it's bronchitis.

Oh no! Are you feeling any better?

The next thing I knew the alarm was chiming

Your alarm chimes?!? Mine is loud and obnoxious. I need to get one of those...:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

We headed over to Mouse Gear together and shopped for a bit.

What did you buy???

Oh you poor thing!!!!!!!!!! EEEK!!!
She has her ups and downs, that's for sure!
Great update. Oy to the hair. Harper is a cutie!
Hair can be such a pain in that humidity! Thanks, we think so too!

They do tell us to consider it a lifestyle change to not gain it all back right? Lunch was at one of my favorite places, if that helps....
I'm sure she went back over her hair with the flat iron in the morning as well.
We have never waited long for Nemo either, but this time there wasn't anyone there but us.

Any time off is welcomed here that's for sure!

Talk her into a shower cap, it worked wonders for me on Splash!:lmao:

Do tell!
I'm guessing Coral Reef.
That would be incorrect....

Sorry Stephanie, not Coral Reef, but a good guess all the same, Baylor was pumped about that shot!
I think Harper was too young to be frightened of the ride so that was a good thing! The Life is Good Nemo designs are really cute, I saw them!

I am better!
The alarm isn't too terrible a noise, especially when you are in Disney....
The s'mores looked better than they tasted in my opinion, but some folks love them!
I've posted pics of souvies, check out the links on page 1. There are a bunch!:thumbsup2

That FP line to get FPs....yikes.

Where was the line for Nemo? What great mojo!

I'm glad M and M were able to join you. They look "okay".

Nice bounceback from being sick to being Disney excited. I guess traveling with their baby helped!:thumbsup2 Always great to see how excited the kids get.

Harper was fun and she traveled so well!
Plus the Ms were the thankful to be there kids.:cutie:

Keely and the hair just cracks me up. At least she only flat ironed it once. I don't get the iron it at night and in the morning phenomenon that Kendall seems to subscribe to. Of course it's better than the alternative which is it looks like she slept with it in a pony tail and didn't brush it (because she did) or that she didn't wash it (because she didn't) but is going for the "cool" look of pony off to the side.

:rotfl:

Harper is so cute! I love the topiaries and the hoodies look great!:thumbsup2

I am glad that Harper's mommy and daddy were feeling well enough to enjoy her first Disney ride. I love the picture of you with sleeping Harper. She is precious.

I have the opposite hair problem with my 14 year old daughter. She would go without even brushing her hair if I didn't make her.:scared1:

That happens at my house as well........ My oldest DD claims her hair looks better if she flat irons it at night, then sleeps on it (I guess to flatten it even more :confused3). But then, in the morning---you guessed it, she's at it again with that blasted flat-iron.

Interrupting for a brief b-ball update LOL!!!

So Anita the big game is this weekend...and it seems that it going to be televised (Since its #2 vs #11...btw how in the world did KSU become this good...so didn't see that happening)!! Going to be a good game, although the one thing going for KU is that KU always plays KSU better at Bramlage than they do Allen Field House...not sure why that is LOL!!!

Anyways the Red and Blue will be worn at my house and I'm looking forward to it!! ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!!!

Alright we can go back to talking Disney now...just wanted to share my excitement with you!

WOW! I need to make sure to keep up on your TR's. It's too easy to fall behind and then it takes FOREVER to catch up.
Harper is TOO cute! My kids were binkie kids, so I appreciate the binkie in the mouth. :)
I can't believe that you are only on day two, but I understand that life gets in the way. Obviously that's why I got behind in reading!!! :rolleyes1

Oh no, she did it in the morning too! She has it down to an art...
the pony to the side sounds very interesting!:goodvibes
We really enjoyed all of the Christmas decorations! Thanks, the hoodies were my favorites that I made this time!

I was a little surprised when I saw Matt and Megan up and ready to go so early, but I was happy that they were feeling well and excited to be at Disney! Oh no about your daughter! I'm sure very soon she will be shampooing that hair all the time! Thanks for the comment about Harper, she is our little sunshine!

I do mine every morning, but not the night before....

Unless the snow here cancels Baylor's tournament we will be listening on a radio.:sad2: It's going to be a very serious game here abouts....:goodvibes

I know, I need to get this show on the road so to speak, 71 pages and haven't even finished our first full day, what's up with that???

Just as we all finished our trip over California it was time to leave Future World to make our way to my favorite cellar for lunch.

Yes we were on our way to Canada!

Some of our crew were more excited than others....

We "strolled" over to Le Cellier and checked in and I quickly captured this photograph of one of decorations.

DSCN0081.jpg

We were seated very quickly, and began looking at the menu. At this point I'll explain that we were on the basic dining plan. Marc and I thought this would work best for the group. When it's just the three of us we just use our Tables In Wonderland Card so I explained to the big kids how it worked. Basically, order a nice steak guys, it's paid for!
Keeley: "I don't like steak"
Me: deep breathing
Keeley " I'll have a hamburger" :headache:
Me: "order the special that comes with three things appy, hamburger and dessert"
Keeley: "I don't eat dessert" :headache:
Me: "UGH just get the cake, we'll take it back with us"

EVERYONE else had a wonderful meal.....
We shared a bowl of the Cheddar Cheese Soup to dip our bread in and it was delicious as usual.
We all had steaks...
except for you know who.... :headache:

Megan and I the filet, she had the risotto, I had the cream cheese mashed both wonderful.
Matt, Marc and Baylor all had the New York Strip more great steaks, all cooked perfectly!
Great sides and desserts.
The only picture I have of this meal is this....
:cutie:

Harper was having a big Cheezit and we didn't get it at Le Cellier...

After lunch we decided to go back over to Future World and try for a character meet.
We passed by this giant Christmas tree on our way.

Then we ran into a photo pass photographer....

First Baylor wanted to introduce our newbies to a friend named Beverly at Club Cool. So we told them about this neat place we could go and sample Coke products from around the world for FREE!
Baylor was so excited he was prancing!
Baylor has been known to stand around in Club Cool and try to get perfect strangers to drink Beverly. So he was almost ready to pop on this one and almost blew it. He was able to "sell" Megan on Beverly.....

Couldn't get this past Keeley because she was watching but Matt on the
other hand wasn't paying any attention so he fell victim to Baylor next.....

Here's a picture of the wreath on the wall of Club Cool...

After Baylor's little pranks and let me tell you he was feeling quite full of himself we headed over to innovations.
We took a couple pictures on our way over...

It was time for the Disney Visa Rewards Character Meet and Greet, it's always fun to see who's waiting behind the curtain!

We waited in a short line and then it was our turn!
