How Much Did I Pay For This Self Inflicted Fun? A Wigdout trip report.

That is not looking like Baylor or a basketball! :rotfl:
No that was the dog, he woke me up at 3:30 and then I woke Marc up when I came back to bed....
These two idiots decided it was time to romp and play with the dumb blonde barking loud enough to wake Sleeping Beauty!

Fenway and Hunny Pot tend to get a little noisy when they play.....
VERY similar experience here this morning. Here was my 4:41 am culprit...

What's with these cute little stinkers?
Right now, I'm very happy I don't have a dog. :rotfl:

Wigd, I had a very bad dream last night. We were all at Disney together and something bad happened...I don't know what exactly. My dream was very confusing but you were YELLING at me. It was horrible. I woke up very confused and thinking of how I would need to apologize...then I realized it was a dream. Phew. :rotfl2:
Oh no! I wonder what you did that made me mad enough to yell at you!

Do your kitties ever wake you up in the middle of the night?

Right now, I'm very happy I don't have a dog. :rotfl:
Me and you both! Heck, it was bad enough when Hannah was a baby and I had to get up early. The happiest day of my life was when she learned to use the remote and could open a Pop Tart by herself. :lmao: :lmao:
I really like getting to sleep in on the weekends, anytime after seven is appreciated!
Oh no! :sad2: That is awful to hear....I hope you are on the mend soon!
Thanks Brook! The extra sleep sure felt good!
Feel better soon, Wigd! Charles was battling some nasty cold/cough thing for about a week and since he is always so melodramatic I wasn't taking him seriously when he kept claiming the end was near, and we should all say our good-byes -- I kept telling him to suck it up and deal with it since it was probably just a cold. Then, he went to the doctor on Tuesday and was quite proud to be able to say that he hadn't been exaggerating because he had bronchitis. This is why I am not a doctor. ;) The cough syrup and antibiotic seems to be doing the trick. So, if it is bronchitis, Wigd, you should make sure you get to the doctor on Monday!
Thanks Jackie! I think I'll call as soon as they open up Monday morning! I think I know just how Charles was feeling...
Take care of yourself and hope you feel better soon!
Thanks Jill, we had basketball this afternoon and this evening, I'm heading to bed really soon!
you are all making me glad I have an appointment on Monday. I think it's just a sinus infection though.
I'm glad you are getting checked on Monday, sinus infections can be so painful!
Feel better soon Anita!!
Thanks Michelle!I can't get rid of this soon enough!
My kids would think I had died if I ever slept past 6, even on a weekend.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Good luck to Baylor in his games. Maybe you can do little else this weekend except lay around and nurse yourself as much as possible. Hope you can feel better quickly.
Thanks, going to bed just as soon as I finish up on here, he didn't get much court time today but he did hit a 3 pointer and was proud of himself!
OH No Anita!! I hope you get to feeling better VERY soon!!!

Hope Baylor's games go well today for him!!!
I wasn't to horrible today, after the first game which they lost, we had lunch at a great little French/Mediterranean cafe called Bella Luna, it was yummy, I stopped in and shopped for a little bit and then we went home before we headed back for our evening game. His team won the second game.
Hope you feel better soon. I think I've got it too. Gotta love winter. :sad2:
I hope you feel better soon too!
Hope you are feeling better really soon!:goodvibes

Thanks Stacey! I do too! I'd love to be well by Monday.:goodvibes

I'm glad you are going to call on Monday, bronchitis seems to be making the rounds this year.

Feel better!!!

Bleck. I hate being sick! Hope you are feeling better! Get some meds and some rest, that will be a big help!!
:goodvibes
I'm fully medicated with all of the over the counter stuff I can get my hands on!:thumbsup2
Get better soon! :flower3:
Thanks so much! I'm working on it!
Feel better
Thank you Jennifer!
Hope you feel better soon Anita

Tracy
Thanks Tracy, I am going to bed and getting some sleep in a couple of minutes!
pixiedust: Here is some pixiedust to help you feel better!
Thanks for the pixie dust Maggie! It might just do the trick!
It's no fun being sick, especially on a weekend! Hope you feel better soon. :)
I don't know Michelle, for me it's better to be sick on the weekend, because I hate making sub plans...
Feel better soon!
Thanks Mary, I have a busy weekend coming up! Two days with training so I need to have lots of energy!

I always have a new atlas in the car along with my gps for my drives to Disney and I print out driving directions off of the internet. I DON'T WANT TO GET LOST! :lmao: I've also changed up the route that I take and I like the southern route better because I see palm trees sooner so I feel like I'm on vacation sooner. Makes sense to me. :rolleyes1

John saw Southwest had flights from Birmingham for $80 each way through the entire month of March. That would at least cut your trip down a bit.

Congrats to Baylor on his win and a good game!! Hope you are feeling better this morning!

Allegiant and AirTran have some great fares out of Knoxville! You could always drive here. :)

Feel better!!!
I'm actually feeling better! I've been self medicating all weekend....:goodvibes
I was hollering as loud as my froggy voice would allow!

I think the southern route sounds warmer too! Especially if they are forecasting snow as they sometimes do in March!

Thanks Jill, we are still checking!
Congrats to Baylor on his win and a good game!! Hope you are feeling better this morning!
I do feel better, not sure how I will feel when that alarm chimes at 5:45 tomorrow though...

I hear that the best fares come out on Saturdays, next Saturday we are at another Basketball tournament from sunup until way past sundown.
Maybe the NEXT Saturday when we have a free weekend...

Hope you're feeling better today :goodvibes

Thanks Jo! I am feeling better.
It's time for an update!

OK, so I sold the trip report with the drama, so I'm going to back track a little to just before we went to bed....

I told everyone we would need to get up early to try to make rope drop.
We would grab a quick breakfast in the room and be down at the bus stop by 8 AM.
Alarms should be set accordingly....

Keeley replied "how am I supposed to have my hair washed and dried"? (snotty)

Ever so kindly, I said, "It's not so late, why don't you go ahead and do that tonight"?

She whined "because I'm tired" as she stomped off to the bathroom to wash and dry and flat iron her hair......
I went to bed.

The next thing I knew the alarm was chiming and up a flew to peek out onto the savannah!

Everyone got dressed including Megan and Matt who were looking a bit pale but were not about to miss their first day in the parks!

Off we went.

Where you ask?

You might be surprised....

We took some pictures as we entered the park.

The topiaries were adorable!

Marc was the fast pass runner for Soarin' and the rest of us went to stand outside of Nemo to wait for him.
So there is your answer.
Harper's first Disney ride was Nemo!
Here's Marc's adventure at Soarin'.

Here we are heading into Nemo! All by ourselves.

Finishing and going to see Crush. Harper just took it all in, she sure did a lot of pointing!:goodvibes

I had been texting back and forth with Shannon (Shann) and we were close by so we met up out in front of the land building. It was great to see her and Courtney after missing our on our DIS meet the night before. We headed over to Mouse Gear together and shopped for a bit.

DSCN0075.jpg

All to soon it was time for our flight to depart for California so we headed to The Land Pavilion.
We were planning to try the child swap and it worked really well for us.

DSCN0079.jpg

Marc and I waited with Harper while the rest rode then it was our turn to go!

Up next.

Lunch, as well as you all know me, what would it be?

Glad you are feeling better!

Would you feel safe going with only the GPS?

Yep! I haven't bothered with maps since we got it. Our GPS only gets confused when many highways are crossing each other - and it always figures itself back out, so it's usually not a problem.

But, on such a long trip, perhaps a GPS and printed directions from Google Maps would be best.

Nemo is the perfect first ride for a little one!!! Don't ya love Baby Swap? I like that up to 3 people can ride on it too!!

Lunch...hmmm....since you are right there I will guess Sunshine Seasons. But, by how you worded it, I'm guessing it's a place you always visit at Epcot....and I'm completely drawing a blank! :goodvibes:

awwwhhhh...Harper looks so cute asleep.:cutie:

I can't believe how long the line for fp's was! Looks like they need a fast pass just for the fast pass.

Nice picture.

We love baby swap. It is so nice that this is an option.

Nemo was a good first ride. I bet Harper was so sweet pointing at all the many things there are in that pavilion.
Did you get a pin or other souvenir to remember her first ride by?

I hope you are feeling good enough to face this Monday morning at school. I haven't been sick or anything, but this is one of those Mondays when I would like to call in and extend my weekend a bit. I'm normally not a bit sluggish in the mornings, but this weekend just seemed to go incredibly fast for some reason!

Oh, Keeley, Keeley, Keeley. :sad2:

Hurray for Nemo being Harper's first ride! I bet Brooklyn would approve!

The Christmas topiaries are just so adorable!!! :goodvibes

Hmmm, what's for lunch? It must be too early in the morning for me because I am stumped.

Woot! A great update!!

First of all I hope you're feeling well this morning! Have a great week at school!!!!

YAY for Harper's first ride being Nemo!!!!

Wow that was a lot of people at Soarin!!!!!! Glad you were able to have your DISmeet and I can't wait to find out what you are having for lunch!!!!

Loved the picture of you and Harper... so sweet.

I am HOME reading this instead of in my classroom because school was CLOSED due to FLOODING! We had some wild weather last night, so when they called at 4:55 to tell us school was closed and it was optional for teachers... I opted out :)

Hope you are feeling better.

I think Nemo is a fantastic first ride! Yea for getting the first park day underway and for Megan and Matt feeling up to a big day! Harper is a total doll... and Keeley----I am not lookng forward to teenagers!

Hope you feel better
