Private poll. Just for informational purposes.

Choice $0-$5,000 should be $0.01-$5,000.

...and despite the accusations that invariably come up when people claim to have no credit card debt, I'm not lying about our lack of CC debt. When my FIL passed away in 2005 and left us a small life insurance policy, we paid off all our cards and have not carried a balance since.

If I had credit card debt, I wouldn't be planning a trip to Disney. My only debt is my mortgage.

I voted none, while we technically have a balance almost all the time, it is paid in full every two weeks.

I picked $0-$5000 because our monthly statement regularly shows a balance between $1500-$2000. But I never pay interest because we use the card for everything (Disney Visa) and then pay it off with the next paycheck.

(Am I the only person tempted to select the top category just to watch the outcry :) )

LOL and I was counting the number of post that said shame on anyone who is going to disney world with credit card debt. these threads never end well so I'm out before the fire and brimestone start raining down.

We do have current charges on our Disney Visa, but we pay it off completely every month. Our mortgage is the only debt we have. We live within our means-- if we ain't got it, we don't get it. :rotfl:

None. Our VISA is paid in full through autodebit out of our household account. All of our credit cards are set up in this manner: AMEX/Costco, Sears Mastercard and US VISA (vacation).

If I had cc debt, I would say I did. I feel very blessed to be able to say our Mortgage is our only debt. We'll run our cars until they die of natural causes and we have money saved to pay cash to replace one (hopefully they won't both die at the same time!). I think people are becoming more cc savy and doing all they can to rid themselves of massive cc debt. The economy certainly does not help! I don't run around bragging about not having cc debt or anything and I certainly don't judge people who are buried in debt. If my life had been different, I could be right there myself. Good luck to anyone who wants/needs to get out from under. One step at a time is all any of us can do.

Excellent post! :thumbsup2 I couldn't agree more.

No CC debt. If I do put something on my card I immediatly pay it off when the bill comes in. (online shopping/flying/etc I use a rewards card)

However I did splurge last year and bought a brand new car...:rotfl:

I am NOT debt free. But I love my car.

I share a house so I pay into a mortgage it's just not mine.

Haven't carried a balance for sometime.

However, sometimes I DO choose to carry a balance. Usually not, credit card debt is too expensive compared to - say taking money out of savings or using my HELOC.

I'm not saying that other people should not be planning a Disney trip because they are in debt, I'm just saying that I wouldn't. The last vacation I took was in 2006 when my oldest daughter and I went to Jamaica. It's taken that long to be ready to travel again without having to go into debt to do it. Personally, I've been in debt, and I don't like it. I don't think I could enjoy a vacation if I knew I had $5 or $10K in credit debit waiting for me at home. But that's just me.

just curious if those are 0% interest? Mine is 0% until Jan 2013 and I have n on new charges -- I just pay an amount each month that is the same each month that will have it paid in full for Dec 2012.

We do have CC debt but are on track to pay it off in about 2.5 years. We have no car debt or student loan debt though so I'm not freaked out about it.

DH and I have vacationed while having CC debt. The vacations we've taken are cheap and wouldn't have paid down the debt significantly faster than not going, so we chose balance in life over faster debt paydown. Others feel diffrently and that's okay too.

NO CC debt, I'm chosen not to be a customer of the CC industry. Cash only for several years... Never felt better... Have only the mortgage which will be gone next year...

I'll admit it: I'm in the 5-10K range. And I HATE it!

It just seems we can never, ever get ahead. Ever. I'll get some of the debt paid off and then, bam, something comes up and I have to use a card. There's no way I can do that Dave Ramsey 1K (for starts) emergency fund. We're barely making it paycheck to paycheck and there's nothing left to put aside for savings. I have an upcoming surgery (2 actually) and I don't even want to think about what the deductible is going to be since they're both being done at the same time with top-notch docs at a top-notch hospital.

My only way out of this is to get a part time job or find something I can do to generate income in addition to my full time job. I'm just so exhausted from working all the time that I can't imagine how I would fit in a part time job.

Anyway...... sigh.........
