I'm wondering honestly how much is possible to earn with a few hours a day on these websites that I've been reading about (Expo TV, Sunshine rewards and chacha).

I'm signed up for Sunshine but I can't figure out how to get the credits without buying all kinds of stuff/signing up for costly programs etc. I've earned a whole $2.40 and that was for the initial signup and one survey. The couple of times I've tried to do the daily survey it says that it isn't available anymore and to try back the next day.

Never done expo or chacha but I'm curious about the earning potential for a few hours a day. How have you all been earning so much? HOw much time do you spend on these websites?

I would love to make a couple hundred a month but I don't know how to get started.

I never did well with Sunshine Rewards and I haven't tried ChaCha, but I really like Expo. You just can't have a fear of being on camera and you need a good quality video camera. I make between 100 and 200 a month extra. There's a thread on here of Expo users where we'll be happy to answer any questions you have.

Don't give up on Sunshine rewards. It took me about 2 weeks to figure out the ins and outs of SR, but once I did, my earning took off. Joining their forum and posting any question I had on it helped tremendously. I signed up in May and have already earned over $125 (that's just from doing their 2 daily surveys, bonuses and the free stuffs) and not one cent of that was from shopping. I've already cashed out and received $100 disney gift cards. So I'm averaging about $50/month from SR. When I started in May, I was just hoping to earn $50 by our trip in Aug. Once I reached that goal, i bumped up my goal to $100... then it became $130... now my goal is $150 by the first week in Aug.

I also do mypoints, have done it for over 2-3 years. But I'm lucky to redeem a $25 giftcard once a year.

I don't see how. Everytime I go into the surveys it says they are closed. I joined and got $2.40 and have not received much more thn that. I think I am at $2.52.

With SR, you can continue to attempt the Daily Survey over and over until you are accepted. Just use the same demographics. (Even if you are told you don't qualify or there are no surveys.) Sometimes you won't get one - "thems the breaks." Companies are looking for certain demographics - I'm not it.

Join the forum - there used to be a link on SR to sign up and get a couple of pennies for that. Read and ask questions! You do not have to buy anything to get credit for freebies. Just be willing to get a lot of Spam, I use g-mail and change my e-mail every two weeks. I also have an AOL phone # so I don't get marketing call.

You are not going to get rich doing reward programs, but I have made over $200 on SR since January. I don't do "paid sign ups" where you join a club or movie rental type of thing and I do minimal shopping. Most of the money is from surveys and "freebie" offers.

Keep trying, it took me a while to get the hang of it.

i have made aroound 500 dollars on sunshine with doing the "free" offers, i'm not a big fan of their message board anymore.

I also do quickrewards now I just started that like 2 or 3 weeks ago and i just do the paid clicks and made about 15.00 just from the paid clicks.

Once I am done with my next disney trip, i will be done with the rewards programs for awhile. ( i am getting burned out of doing them)

I have been doing SR for two years and have made over $1000 so it's possible. I DO shop but I shop online anyway.

As for a PP saying that she gave up on our forum (sorry...she is not a fan of it), please give it a try yourself. There are WONDERFUL people over there who will literally give you the shirt off their back to help you.

I'm sorry you feel that way about the forum, it's truely a wonderful group of people who are always quick to offer support. You don't have to make friends there like I did but most are willing to bend over backwords to help you. The owners are also awesome and answer questions rather quickly and there is no tolerance for bullying or flaming which is nice not to have to worry about saying something and someone yelling at you for it.

SR is a great way to earn money, Aug will be my one year mark and I've earned over 1300 and most is from free offers and surveys. I have done some shopping, but for things I would have ordered anyway and I do shop around for the best sales and clearances. Target's clearance is my best friend, but if I find a deal I go for it.

I have to agree with LIGrumpyGirl. I love Sunshine Rewards. I have been a member since July 2006. It took me a little while to figure everything out also. But once I did, I have earned almost $975 in Disney Gift Cards. I have $300 in my account right now that I plan to cash out for our Oct Disney trip and Cruise.

You won't get rich doing any rewards programs, but Sunshine Rewards is a great way to earn free gift cards for Disney. They are an honest and reputable company and their customer service is outstanding.

Please give the SR forums another try and be sure to check out the Member Q/A section for help in getting started.

I love Sunshine! There are a lot of offers over there that are not clubs or memberships & while they pay less than those that are memberships or clubs, they do add up! The daily surveys can be frustrating, but maybe someone else in your home (kids or spouse) could do it w/their demographics?? My DH has much better luck than I did, so I make him do the surveys.

The freebies, like someone else said, give you a lot of spam so make sure you have a gmail account...I open a new one every month. Also, if you're doing the freebies & they're not crediting well, you may need to change your cookie settings.

I know others have mentioned it, but on the SR forum there are a lot of people who are successful w/SR & can usually help you through if you're having issues w/things crediting. Also, there is an entire thread on FAQ that is useful to start with!

Not sure if a couple hundred a month is possible w/o a lot of shopping, but I can easily earn over $50 w/o trying hard. Good luck!!

I've never heard of expo, I'll have to look into that!! Thanks!!

For those interested in learning more about Expo, here's a link to the Expo thread here on the Dis. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1497331

The basics of Expo is you do video reviews of products you own. Currently, they pay $10 a review for good quality and informative videos. Videos that don't pass the quality review still get the penny per play (all videos get). The maximum amount of videos and amount per video does change, but lately it's been $10 a video with a max of 20 a month. Though Expo does offer extra questions for money or bonus money for certain reviews.

I've also done well with MyPoints, but mostly because I'm also a Bzz Agent. That site gives you products to tell others about. You now earn MyPoints for your "Bzz" reports.

For my shopping, I go through Ebates. They offer money back for shopping.

There are a lot of ways to make extra money on the internet, but it won't be big bucks.

I joined in May'07 but really didn't get the hang of it until July. Since then I have made just about $900. Just checked and a little over $150 is shopping credits. I have joined some clubs, but was already thinking about joining them, anyway. I just got paid to do so over at SR.

Most of what I know is from reading the forums. At first, I didn't say much. But, I joined in when I saw that I didn't have to worry about being flamed over little or nothing. And, have made some great friends.

As for time spent, I work full time as a nurse, plus I'm a single mom with two school aged girls, so most of my time spent on making money is what I can squeeze in.

I can't seem to log in to SR. I get emails from them, but when I try to log in they don't recognize my email. I need to email them but I've been too busy dissing....

You know rewards programs and online earning opportunities are just like anything else in life - you need to take your time and learn how to do it properly or else it will never work. I think the rewards programs are one of the best places to make a little extra money for the fun things in life. I have been a member of a few of them but Sunshine Rewards is by far my favorite. The community over there is one of the reasons why. Not only are there fellow members who are willing to help but also the owner and her team are almost always available to help and answer questions. It is just like any other community - you aren't always going to agree with what is said sometimes but for the most part people are there to help one another.

I know participating in rewards programs may seem confusing or intimidating at first but it really isn't. There are plenty of opportunities to earn. Completing daily surveys as well as the free surveys is a great way without spending a dime! The only thing you will be out is a few minutes of your time. You can earn money back for shopping online for things you would be buying anyway. You can also take advantage of trial offers as well but they certainly aren't mandatory. I have been lucky enough to make almost $1,700 in a little over two years at SR. I don't think anyone should be looking to make hundreds a month doing any rewards program. It certainly can happen but I wouldn't want to count on it. As I said before, it is a way to earn a little extra money every month - not a way to add a couple hundred dollars to your family's budget every month.

I can't speak directly about ChaCha because I never really particiapted in that but I have read that there is also a community over there that is helpful as well. Many people have reported earning quite a bit over there. But just like rewards programs - you have to go up a learning curve and put the right amount of time and effort into it to make it worth your time!

Good luck to you OP! It can be difficult trying to decide where to focus your time and efforts. As I said before, I highly recommend SR but that is based on my personal experience. I would suggest giving it another try but go over to the boards ther first and see what help you can find. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the progress you can make with a little help :)

Thanks for the responses. I will try and learn a bit about Sunshine. Expo sounds really good too. I"ll have to look into that. I know I won't get rich doing these sites but any extra money helps right now and since I"m online anyways......

Thanks again,
kelly

The previous posters gave really good advice about SR. If I initially do not qualify for a survey, I continue to click on "try for another survey" tab until it takes me to the "no surveys available for you" page. I also try periodically throughout the day if don't initially get into a survey. I eventually get into a survey 5 out of every 7 days/times.

Definitely open up and use a gmail account as you will recieve lots of spam. And most importantly, sign up in their forums and ask questions. There are lot of wonderful people over there who are willing to help.

As Redwitch said, you won't get rich but it will give you some play money. Don't give up on SR.

Don't give up! We have had some SR fun money on our last three trips to Disney. I think about $800 in May. I do all the shopping I can through SR, would buy my groceries there if I could. I do free offers, some paid offers, but not many, mainly shopping, and surveys (I don't get them often but they add up). I going to furnish my son's dorm room this fall with my SR earnings.
I have learned so much from the SR forum. I have been with the site since the early days and learn something new everyday on the forum.

Hey

The Sunshine Forum is like one big happy family, and as in any family, everyone can have good days and bad days!! Don't give up!! ;)

Wow, I'm like the OP-I joined SR about a week ago and haven't had any luck getting anything.
But after reading all these replies I'm going to give it another shot!!

I think you will be happy once you get to know the ropes. I joined SR last August and it took me a good month to get up to speed. I am now closing in on $950 in that time frame and I rarely do offers where I have to purchase something. It has to be something I would go out and get at the store before I do that. I do try all the free offers, doing only 2 or 3 at a time. Like another poster suggested, I do use gmail and switch addy's from time to time. I try a daily survey multiple times each day until I qualify. There is also an OTX survey you can try for every 24 hours, also. The daily surveys pay $.80 and the OTX $.75. So you could conceivably earn $1.55 daily just by doing surveys. I usually qualify for a daily survey, probably only missing 5-8 days a month, but I'm persistent. I keep trying until I get one.

Please join us in the forum to give you additional pointers. We love sharing our knowledge. Good luck!:thumbsup2
