How much could I earn doing online rewards sites???

Like you, I finally tried Sunshine Rewards. At first I didn't really get the hang of it. It took me a while to figure out exactly what to do to earn money on there. I have done no shopping on there at all and have earned $40 or so and it hasn't even been two months yet. Not to mention I was out of town on vacation for about two weeks during June and had family emergencies come up the last two weeks. So all in all my earnings so far have occurred in about a total of 3-4 weeks.

If all you do on there are just the two daily surveys each day, thats $1.55/day, $46.50/month, $139.50/quarter, and $558/year. And thats only for 15-20 minutes of your time per day. Definitely worth it for me!

I also understand that once you become a SuperMember (you have to earn at least $100/quarter to qualify) you have greater earing opportunities. It's very easy to do and the rewards you can cash out for are awesome. Disney gift cards and other gift cards.

I'm so glad I tried it and stuck with it. Don't give up just because you don't "get it". Sign up on the forum and ask questions. Anyone will be happy to help you!

I did make $$ for Disney with SR and was very easy doing it but about 1 year ago I dropped out of SR after receiving a negative email from them. My computer died so I started stopping at my daughters house and used her computer until I got a new one. Needless to say, I had no idea she did SR so after the email regarding 2 people using the same IP address, I cancelled my registration. Did not want my daughter to loose her registration. Never had another problem with the other reward programs and using the same IP address.

When you do the sign ups, are you giving out your home mailing address? That is what I do not want to do. I know some of the offers you can get credit for just giving your email address, but then it ask for a mailing address and I just close that screen.
Some mentioned that they use different email addresses. Does the email address you enter in the offers have to match the address you use with SR or other reward programs (like QR)?

All rewards programs that I am aware of prohibit multiple accounts for a household. Since all the activity is internet based, the only way to track that is by ip address. SR is more active in alerting members to this and who can blame them. They aren't as big as a mypoints or Upromise so it is esier for themto monitor this kind of stuff. Unfortunately, rewaards progrmas have gone thru significant changes over the past year, mainly due to fraud. People would sign up multiple accounts and then duplicate offers and get credit those offers multiple times. Advertisers began pulling their affiliate/rewards programs because of this fraud. I'm not saying this is what you were doing. I can understand why you did what you did but unfortunately in the eyes of the advertisers it wasn't right. They only way they have to really verify unique requests/sign-ups is the ip address.

I wouldn't hold it against SR for trying to run an honest program. They do it so that they can keep their advertisers and stay in-business. That is good for them and all the members!

Do you have any idea how many lists you are on because your credit card companies, utilities, etc. sell their lists to marketers. I am very careful with my personal information and I do not mind giving out my address for these offers. You will not get credit if you do not follow thru to the end of the survey. You do not have to sign up for additional offers throughout the survey. Just hit skip or no to the additional offers. I usually sign up for one or two of the free offers (like Pillsbury emails) and I think it helps getting credit.

Most offers track by using "cookies" on your computer so the email address used does not matter in most cases. If it is an offer that tracks by email address (most programs will tell you upfront) then you will have to use the email address you have on file with the program.

I just hate junk mail. I currently do not get much junk mail, just the credit card offers. Also, the reason why I was asking is because I know some of the offers will credit you when you only give your email. Especially the ones that ask for the email on the first page, then you submit that and another page opens for your adrress. I especially don't want to give my address when I don'e have to to get the credit.

There are no longer any offers where you can just enter your email and get credit. Those days are gone. The reason is that rewards programs work by getting you to sell you information to advertisers. The money you are being paid is for your informationg. You can't give false information or your credits will be revoked and you will be banned. If you are adamant about not giving out personal information like your address I would suggest that rewards programs are not the place for you. The whole idea is to sell your information. Which in my opinion is a lot better than the credit reporting companies who are selling your information. At least you are getting the money for it. Rewards programs also work with shopping credits. If you aren't willing to shop or give your home address then it really won't work for you and you would be wasting your time.

I received a similar email several months ago and since than have done very little on SR. I agree with the poster who said that they should be able to keep their site honest BUT I was very offended at being accused of "fraud" just for opening EMAILS sent to my account. I was totally unaware that emails (NOT CLICKS) were sometimes sponsered by advertisers.

IMO I should be able to open any email that comes to my personal account, from any computer, without being told I was engaging in fraudulent behavior.
This should have been explained before "fraud" accusations were made. Sometimes people make honest mistakes.

I really enjoyed SR and I think Tricia is generaly very fair but this really offended me.

Please understand that rewards sites have been hit VERY hard with fraud. We have lost advertisers as a result of members cheating us for thousands of dollars. The only way that we can ensure to our advertisers that we have a zero tolerance policy on fraud is that we actually HAVE a zero tolerance policy. Although other sites might be fine with it, we do not allow anyone to get credits for multiple accounts from the same computer.

Think about it this way.... An advertiser is paying us per unique person that reads an email. If two people on the same computer read emails and click on the advertiser's links, that advertiser has no way at all of knowing whether it was the same person with two accounts or two different people. So we go with the strictest rule possible--one person per computer/household/IP address. That way, we can always stand up to our advertisers and tell them that we have the cleanest site possible.

I hold absolutely nothing against those people who want to use other sites so that they can have multiple accounts. If another site permits you to do that, then you SHOULD use that site because you are playing by their rules and no one gets hurt. But we stand behind our policies, even if they seem overly strict. Our goal is to be the cleanest rewards site on the Internet. And for that, we are rewarded with deals with companies like Ticketmaster, who you won't see on most other rewards sites.

Mods, I hope that you will not delete this post as advertising but I really wanted to be able to defend against what people are saying about SR. SR is not made for everyone, but we try our best to be an honest, caring site.

In response to not wanting to give out your personal information:

You should always use a separate email address for any rewards site. You will receive a lot of junk mail and having a separate account keeps it out of your main email account.

As for giving out your home mailing address, yes you will also receive more junk, but not that much. I have been with SR for well over a year. I have signed up for literally hundreds of offers, and my junk mail really is not that bad. Actually, I have received a lot of really neat coupons, samples and free things

And lastly, before joining any rewards site, you should familiarize yourself with their rules and policies. Every site I know of prohibits multiple accounts from the same IP, and for obvious reasons. I caught myself making a mistake one night and instantly knew I had screwed up and I IMMEDIATELY contacted the Sunshine Team to tell them. I knew what I had done wrong because I knew their policy. I find a lot the mistakes that are made, are not made maliciously, but because the member didn't know any better. Unfortunately, the reward site still has a job to do and zero tolerance has to be enforced. Always read the rules and policies before diving in!

I think I figured it out!!! I did the surveys this morning and already got credited! I also did a couple of the offers where you just keep clicking skip or no until I got to the end. Marked those as pending and now I'll see if I credit for those as well.

I think I could get addicted to this site. Thanks for all your info and responses. I read a little bit on their forum and got a better idea on how to do this.
