Hubby and I will be dining at Chef Mickey's and Chrystal Palace. Since we don't have kids, do the characters come around a lot or will we just be able to get a quick picture? Hubby would prefer a quick visit since he's not a character guy and is only doing this so I can get my fix of pictures and hugs!!

Thanks!!!princess:

We did the PSB in May with 5 adults, and we felt that we got just as much as the tables around us. We honestly only cared about getting several pictures, and were not rushed at all. SOme of the princesses stopped to visit with some of the children around us, but of course that wasn't something we needed or wanted (course DH would have been fine with Jasmine stopping to talk to him for awhile... but that's another thread in itself =) LOL!

I have never heard of adults not getting the same attention as others if they want it. I'm sure y'all will have a great time!

DH and I had breakfast at Chef Mickey's and we had great interaction with the characters! Of course it could have had something to do with the wedding ears! I think without them we would have still had a great time!

I sat near two women who were at breakfast at CP in April. They got lots of attention, and the characters even handed me their camera so they could have pics together with the characters, then they handed my camera to them so DD & I could have our picture together (DH was not with us this time).

I thought it was very nice of the charcaters. The first time it was funny -- Pooh taps me and is handing me this camera and the two women were giggling. Who is going to aruge to with a 6 foot bear handing you a camera? ;)

I sometimes wonder if--once in awhile--the characters don't prefer a table of just adults. At least it's a brief respite from the kids constantly pulling, pushing (and sometimes screaming) etc for attention.
Last time we did a character thing, both Chip and Dale came to our table--followed by about a dozen kids who's tables they'd already been to. They were followed about the restaurant by this swarm, and every time they stopped at a new table, these same kids would rush up again for yet another autograph or picture.

The past 2 trips I have taken were with adults only. We always received enough attention. I have plenty of pictures to prove it. Don't worry and have a great time!:D

They also seem aware of people, young or old, who are not "into" the visit. They will lay low at those tables. Your husband need not worry. Of course, my boyfriend took on the same attitude your husband has before our first trip and I have more pictures of HIM with the characters than of me! LOL! He would hand ME the camera when they came to our table. :D

Kevin and I LOVE the character meals...we've pretty much been to them all, and we have always been smothered with lots of attention.

Chip even chose me to march with him in the Ohana breakfast parade (he really liked my homemade autograph book).

I think the characters "sense" who wants the attention and who doesn't, so if your DH is acting aloof, they'll get the hint, but you'll still get your hugs and kisses!

Our next trip will be with our new baby girl, so it's going to be a "fresh" character experience for us!

It's always just hubby & me on all of our trips. We generally do between 5 - 8 character meals a trip. We really love the interaction & the great pictures we get. For the 2 of us it isn't any more expensive to dine with characters than many of the other restaurants. I think you'll still get plenty of attention & I bet your DH will enjoy it once he's actually there. ;)

We've done both Crystal Palace twice, Chef Mickey's once and we had plenty of character interaction. DH was a bit leery before his first character meal, but after it was over his character obsession had begun;) I think the amount of time you get with the characters depends a lot on how busy the restaurant is that day. The only place we went to when it was really busy and we only got 2 seconds with the characters was Donald's - but we still got the same amount of time that everyone else did. Have fun:D

My Dh and I have had our share and than some of character interaction. I've even had characters take picture with me than go to other side of table and have me take one with DH.
The best was Snow White at PSB talking with DH who had grumpy shirt on. She told him that he didn't look too Grumpy but that Grumpy was really a softie underneath the frown. It was just one of those moments.
I always loved the interaction at CP. I had tigger come around to our table twice in one meal just to see his authgraph on the tigger paper I had used for my scrapbook/autograph book.

My sister and I go every year and we always have nice interactions with the characters. In fact, Chip/Dale pulled up a chair at our table at 2 separate restaurant and sat with us for a while. Gazed longly at our food. It was great fun!!!
