How much CASH to bring

We're going for 5 days, leaving tomorrow, and have one final question. Do most places in the parks (restuarants, table service, etc) take credit cards, or will I need to bring tons of cash?
TIA!

Just about every place in WDW takes plastic. I think they find it easier to separate you and your money that way!:)

You don't say how many are in your group but I would plan on bringing about $5-$10 per person per day for the little things like Mickey Bars and sodas that you purchase in small quanitities from the kiosks around the park. Bring more if you are not going to carry your own snacks and water with you.

If you have an ATM card, you may want to bring that with you. There are ATMs located throughout WDW and you can always tap the ATM if you find yourself running low on cash.

There are different ways to pay...

If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can give them a CC and then use your room key to charge all over WDW; even DTD.

If you don't want to do that you can just use your CC but some of the small stands don't take CC so you'll need money for that.

You can also pay by cash everywhere if you want.

You can also pay with Disney Dollars all over WDW (you buy these at the Disney Store).

We usually bring $300 - $500 cash for the airport, tipping, small stands and off WDW property. We also bring about $300 in Disney Dollars for those small stands and snacks at our resort or whatever we feel like. Then we also give the resort our CC so we can also charge to the room if we feel like it for bigger things like sit down restaurants, souvenirs, rental car, room service, and stuff outside WDW.

We don't use cash or credit, we use travelers checks. Yes, it can be a "tiny" hassle to pay with one, but all the clerks are well used to them and that way I'm not tempted to spend more than I am carrying and don't worry so much about cash. Last fall we budgeted $50/day for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Our resort has a full kitchen so we only really needed lunch and snacks and had plenty of money for those. I budgeted a separate "souvenir" amount and went to the World of Disney and used my MK Club discount there and just bought everything all at once towards the end of our trip. That also saved on carrying purchases around all day!
