How much cash should I bring?

We will be staying at POFQ and will be using our Disney Visa. I plan on using it for anything that I can. However, we will not have to use it too much except on food. It is easy to over spend when you use a card. I need to know how much cash do you think I will need? I do not plan on taking but about $200 do you think that is too little? I can always use an ATM if need be.

We usually just charge everything to our room and then pay it off with the CC at the end (or when we're approaching our limit).

Depending on how long your staying $200 might be on the low side $300 might be better. We used cash for all tips and small snacks that were under $5. Oh and drinking at PI, we usually just paid cash- its quicker and easier there.

BTW- WDW ATMs if I remember correctly charge a rather large service charge - and then what ever your bank charges you. I would rather have more cash on me just in case.

I just got back from a 2 week stay, mostly just my daughter and me - dad came down for a few days. I charged everything I could on the room card and had the room covered with my Disney Visa so I was still accumulating Disney dollars for the next trip. I took $300 in cash and $300 in traveler's checks. When I got home I deposited back the $300 in travelers checks and $100 in cash. I held back $30 to have on hand. So I spent less than $200 in cash for the whole 2 weeks - and that covered limo tips, bell service tips, etc. I was surprised, but it worked out about the same way in 2003.

I thought $200 might be enough. I did not think to explain that I have $140 on my Rewards Card to use. I planned on using it for snacks and drinks while in the park. I will be bring snacks and water in with us as well. I also have envelopes made and sealed with tip already enclosed ready for mousekeeping. None of this is included in my $200 amount.
