How much cash do you carry?

None. We rarely use cash. Probably the only time we have cash money is on vacation.

never do I carry cash on me. I always use my debit card. The only time we use cash is on vacation.

On work days, usually less than $20. For travel, I usually bring $100. I hate it when I am on business trips with others and they don't have any cash for tips, tolls or for cabs that don't accept credit cards. They end up using an out of town ATM with fees and complain.

I usually carry between 30 and 50. but to be fair, a lot of places here don't accept credit cards, so cash is the only option.

I hardly ever carry cash. I do a lot of shopping on Craigslist so I have to run to the ATM constantly to pay for stuff. Otherwise, I try not to carry any.

Only a couple dollar bills to buy a soda from the vending machine on my campus. I use debit cards for everything else.

I usually walk around with 100.00 in my pocket on any given day but I don't use it LOL---I use a debit card that gives me points so I earn gift certificates from using it.

Wow, I'm shocked nobody carries cash. I carry $260 cash always that I planned to pay for a print I was having framed, that the framer backed out on framing. Anytime I spend some of it, I replenish it back to my "normal" $260. Plus I have an envelope in my purse that I add $40 cash to each month for DH & my share of the cell phone bill (we're on my DD's family plan). My DD won't let me pay her for our part so I save the money for her and at Christmas I force her to take it. That gives her an automatic Christmas club savings account that she wouldn't otherwise have. I keep it in my purse to use for any emergencies I might have. Anytime I go to the city shopping I always take an extra $500 or more in case I find something I can't live without. I write checks for stuff like groceries but rarely use my debit card. I prefer cash.

Couple hundred dollars. I usually pay cash for everything. I save singles and fives for my disney trips.

Plus you never know when a poker game might break out.

I always carry some cash. The other day we stopped at a mini mart and we got drinks. We went to use the cash back CC and were told the system was down. We just used cash and went on our way. A debit card would not work. Some cash is a must in my wallet.

I'm almost always cash poor. I use my debit card for EVERYTHING. Lately I've been trying to carry more cash, for tips and whatever.

The other night I was out shopping w/ DD. I had to use my debit card for a $4 purchase at Pier one.

I carry an average of $100. I have started to use the debit card when I would have written a check but not for anything else.

DH carries about $200 of working money plus a hidden stash in case of emergencies. We have had occasion to use it when credit cards were not accepted.

Usually about 20.00 for the week. I really don't spend a lot during a normal week. I would never be comfortable carrying a couple of hundred dollars in my purse. What if it gets stolen? Disney? the most I would carry at any given time is around 100.00.

I usually have at least $50. I hit up an ATM for $200 every week, then spend that till it's gone.

I hate to use plastic for small amounts. I know, old fashioned. But I think I'm also secretive... I don't like leaving so much information about my shopping habits everywhere! I figure once it's out of the ATM, it's my running-around money.

Those of you who worry about someone stealing your cash... don't you worry more about someone stealing your credit card info or getting into your bank account through a debit card? The less I use plastic, the less I figure I'm likely to suffer financial identity theft.
