How much cash do you carry?

Between $0 and $100. When I need cash I hit the ATM for $100 and thats my walking around money until its gone. Sometimes its gone in a day or two, sometimes it lasts 10 days. I use my debit to pay for gas and groceries....

It varies. I use debit for most of my purchases and once in a while a credit card (usually for gas). A lot depends on what I am doing and where I go. I'll usually carry anywhere from $20-$100, sometimes more. My wife doesn't like using the ATM so I call my wallet her ATM. I like to have some cash for purchases under $10-$15. What I don't like carrying is change. I have plenty of extra pounds above the waist, but not one ounce below so anything more than a couple of quarters and my pants want to fall down.

I don't carry cash typically and I don't have a debit card. I do have an ATM card but hardly ever use it I usually just put it on my charge to get the points.

Up to $100 at once--I like using cash for some reason! Probably because I don't have to record it in a ledger

It depends on when we are in our budget cycle. Every two week period I start out with $300 or so and I don't replenish until the next two week cycle.

I always have my debit card with me but I carry probably $15-50 on me, just to be safe!

I normally just use my debit card, unless someone gives me cash.
I like to have about $20 on me just in case. Some places still don't take debit cards.

In my real life, I typically carry little to no cash. I rely on my debit card for almost everything. Including those pesky under $5 purchases. I don't like to use the debit card for those, but if I've got no cash I've got no cash. I would probably carry it more often if there were banks closer. I have two walmarts with in 10 minutes but no banks :confused3

Vacation on the other hand is a different story. I try to pay for everything in cash on vacation so that I don't have to worry about what I've spent. The cash is my boundary line. When it's gone it's gone. I don't have to worry about over spending.

I usually use credit cards. That said, I try to keep $20 on me. My DH used to work for the telephone company. They were advised to always have at least $20 on them in case they were robbed. People robbing you don't like to hear that you have "no money" on you. For that reason, and that reason alone, I try to have some cash.

I start the week with $150 of spending money for things we need along the way. However, I always have $400-500 squirreled away in a hidden part of my wallet. My father was a big believer in having cash in case of an emergency. It gets transferred from wallet to wallet and thank goodness I have never had to tap into those funds. Makes me feel better to know it is there. :)
