How much candy

What time does the trick or treating start? We are staying at the fort this year and the kids would love to,participate.

We are back home from a great trip from the fort, what a great time and thanks for everyone's help on here and seeing everyone at the fort. Thought some of you would like to know how much candy we gave out on Saturday night. We brought over 1600 pieces of candy and our friends brought 200 more. We gave out all 1600 pieces plus about 100 form our friends candy I would say we had anywhere from 825-850 we gave out 2 pieces per kid. Also we were in the golf cart parade and threw out 14lbs of candy. Thanks again everyone and a huge thanks for Carol and Gary Cruise for the help and nice talking to you all again.

Thanks Ryan. It was great being your camping neighbour again. Sure didn't recognize you in the golf cart parade, your costume was fantastic!
I think your estimate of trick-or-treaters is just about right. We brought over 1,000 small candy bars from Canada with us and gave out one per person. Some of the really small ones or the really cute ones got two. When that ran out we gave out the big bag of candy we picked up at MNSSHP. We ran out entirely after 600 - 650 kids. There were at least 200 more who walked by after we were done. A few of the parents said that our loop (700) was a bit quieter than some of the others. I can't imagine what they must have been like!
