Hello we are heading for the fort again this year for Halloween. This will be are first time camping for the Halloween night and I would like to know how much candy to bring or how many kids will be by our campsite that night. I requested loop 700 but have the feeling I will end up in 800.

Thanks Ryan

The last two years, in the 700 loop, we've had 400 - 500 trick-or-treaters. Bring lots! :)

Thank you Gary that's what I was looking for, we cant wait to be back to the fort and it will be even better being Halloween time.

I've picked up 6 of the big bags from BJ'S wholesale club already and think I will be getting at least 6 more before we head for the fort.

Ryan, if you don't have enough candy when the kids come by, they might riot at your site. party:

Don't be "that guy". :rotfl2:

Thanks Ed I don't want to be that guy the wife might not be happy that night...LOL

See ya at the Fort hopefully someday, brotha!

We requested 700 also. Arrive on the 29th. I'm bringing at least 10 large bags. Looking for the 220 count ones. Hopefully we'll have enough. We barely had enough in 2013 but we had a mixture and I don't remember what we brought. Hope we get a site with some room. Were bringing lots of decorations.

1) That is about right.
2) You get scads-and-gads of people.
. . . most are staying at The Fort
. . . but, many come from other resorts or even off-site for the sights and candy

Thank you everyone for the help I plan on bringing 10-12 big bags of candy with around 140 pieces per bag.

In the past, I've purchased 10 huge bags (over 100 pieces) and have run out EVERY SINGLE time. You would not even BELIEVE how many trick or treaters show up there. Even though there are signs everywhere to keep out the public, they still show up in droves.

We usually go to the fort for Halloween but have always gone to the party. this year we will stay At the campground. I am so glad you posted this I had no idea there would be that many trick or treaters!

Hello Sam, I've always have heard it's a great time at the fort Halloween night, right now I'm at 10 bags and knowing I will be getting at least 4 more before going to the fort on the 29th. I'm trying to get things ready but not easy working 7 days a week right now but all will be worth it.See you all at the fort.

pre shopping here in Canada... missed last years halloween but in the last three before that we easily ranged from 300-500 kids, it's insane but tons of fun!!!
Here's hoping when we cross the border, customs doesn't wonder why I'm bringing 10 bags of candy into the US.... lol

We are set now, we have enough for 500 but i am sure we will get more when we arrive in florida, i have no idea how long this candy will last in my house!

1) Let us know your campsite number.
2) By The Way, we prefer Snickers or Plain M&M's.

What time does the trick or treating start? We are staying at the fort this year and the kids would love to,participate.
