How much can we achieve in EMH?

Hi. We are in Disneyland, staying at GCH from the afternoon on Monday 25 August to Saturday 30 August. It looks like park opening will be 9am, so I was wondering, if we get into the parks for 8am EMH how much can we realistically expect to achieve in that hour?

We have decided to leave PP until our second DL day, as although we all like it its not a top priority, its something we have done before at DLP & WDW, so our plan is to start with Buzz as its a family favourite and then head to Fantasyland - I am thinking Alice, Mad Tea Party, Mr Toad and Dumbo. Are we likely to get all of that done in an hour? Could we do Buzz twice first or will that make the other queues much longer?

Thanks for your help :)

Buzz always has a short line. You are better off doing the others first then going back to Buzz. Do Dumbo, Alice, Mr Toad, etc, then Buzz.

We follow this plan in this order and almost always get them all done in that first hour.

Peter Pan's Flight, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Alice in Wonderland, The Mad Tea Party, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and Pinocchio's Daring Journey.

Do you get this much done with a 8am MM/EMH also, as opposed to a 7am MM/EMH? Just curious.

Only some attractions in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are open during DL Magic Mornings. Early entry to DCA also has limited offerings. Obviously the main considerations at that park are RSR, TSMM and Soarin'. But at Disneyland, you should probably focus on the cluster of rides in Fantasyland (around the castle), and then see what you can do in Tomorrowland. After the park opens, I'd board the train from either Toontown or Tomorrowland, and head to New Orleans Square, hitting Indy or Jungle Cruise (grabbing a FP for Indy), Splash, HM and Pirates in that order.

When I'm at MK at WDS, I try to get the earliest available ADR for Crystal Palace, and have eaten there at 7:10am. Next week I have an ADR at the same time for Plaza Inn. So I'm looking forward to having breakfast while the park is practically empty. If you have more than one MM/EE, I recommend doing this.

We can complete ALL of fantasyland(except IASW/Canalboats/CaseyJr) with some rides being MULTIPLE times all in EMH. Peter Pan backs up first, so that's the first thing we do, followed by Dumbo. The rest all move along pretty quickly, so take your pick after that... for us, its usually Alice as #3.

I would also bump Alice up on the list (if you're not doing PP, I'd do Dumbo, then Alice) just because it's my favorite FL ride, but because it just came off a lengthy refurb and appears to have some new cool effects. I sort of suspect that might make the line a bit longer (and that one can really back up as the day goes in).

Are you not planning to ride the Mountains or Star Tours? If not, I can't see a reason why you wouldn't be able to ride everything else in TL and FL in your MM, and probably some more than once.

For us this works with any one hour early entry prior to the parks opening for everyone else. However we have not been to the parks since Alice reopened. We will be trying this next week to see if it still works. Maybe others that have can chime in on if this schedule needs to be switched around a bit.

Thanks everyone, that's really helpful. It sounds as though we can really get a lot done in that first hour..... now to work out how to get the teenager out of bed for it :lmao:
