How much are your school lunches?

I read through the thread about children not being able to charge for lunch and several people posted about the cost of lunches. I never realized how much a difference there was in the prices of the lunch. At my middle school the charge is $1.50. Guest pay $3.00. We have the best lunches in our district because we are a new school they put in a "state of the aRt" lunchroom. We have 6 different choices each day.
How much do you or your child pay for school lunches?

My kids are in elementary school and the charge is $1.85 and $3.00 for guests.

DS school lunch is $1.80 (Elementary)

DD school lunch is $2.05 (High School)


Not sure what the Middle School lunch is . . .DS will be going there in September . . .I believe it is $1.90

For elementary school, full price lunch is $1.85 apiece, and breakfast is $1.25. I've never heard of a guest price, so I don't know about that.

My middle school daughter can either order a standard lunch for something like $2.15 or ala cart a salad, or a sandwich, chips, fruit, ice cream, etc. I'm not sure how much these ala cart choices are, but her standard $35 lunch check lasts about a month, so it must add up to less than $2.15.

I think its $2 for elementary, and $3 for middle/high school.

My kids pack their lunches, but that is what I think it is

Here on the south shore of Boston DSs pay about $1.40 for lunch. This is the middle/senior high school. I usually give them $2 each and this covers their lunch and a dessert. Most of the week I pack them their lunches, but they get to buy lunch every Friday which is pizza day.

2.10 for elementary (an extra 1.00 fpr extra-entre...which is an extra piece of pizza or extra nuggets...whatever they are having)

2.45 for middle/high school

When I was in elementary, I remember it being 50 cents for hotlunch and we used to get these red tokens right before lunch. My kids thought I was nuts when I asked what their "tokens" looked like. They just pay the cash in the lunch line.

$1.25, I'm not sure how much adult lunches there are. I think around $2.00. Both of my kids are in elementary school.

Akron, OH school district, elementary lunch is free. If you bring your lunch and need milk, it's .35.

Milk is .30
Ice Cream is .35

Teachers pay $2.00

Lunch used to be $1.50...this year it went up to $1.65. This is elementary. Adult lunches are $2. Also, the kids can "size it up" to get an extra entree for $0.75. Breakfast is $0.75. Desserts are $0.75 and so are bottles of water.

In elem, Domino's day was more - $1.75. In middle school they have Domino's every Friday, but I don't know what it costs.

Wow, this is an eye opening thread to read. Ours are $2.30 for elementary, I have no idea what the middle school and high school charge. That seems awfully high compared to most of yours.

Elementary lunches are $1.25 and Middle school and High School are $1.50. At the HS level you have lots more options so you could end up spending $2-$3.

My boys pack lunch, but occasionally buy on pizza day. Elem. & Middle School is $2.25, Jr. High and High School is $2.50.
