I'm not sure if breakfast in inc in our package, so how much would I expect to pay for breakfasy at the New York hote?

Also how much is say a Mcdonalds? And a meal at Planet Hollywood?

I've had a look at the food guide site but it doesn't say precisely! I need precise! :rotfl2:

Thanks!!

Suzie xx (only 6 weeks ish till we go!!!)

Breakfast will be included in your package for HNY :thumbsup2

Can't help with McDonalds but sure someone else will. Planet Hollywood we were €130 for 4 adults and 3 children; including Brits Guide 20% off coupon :)

Have you had a look at the menus on the Food Guide - most of them should give up to date prices.

I think it's the price of the continental breakfast that is included in the package. I believe it's very nice, but if you did want to have a hot breakfast it would cost 6 euros per person. Or you can have your continental breakfast delivered to your room for 10 euros.

we had a mc'ds on our last day, as the park was so busy we went to the village, for 2 adults, my dh had big mac meal and i had big and tasty, meal nad 3 happy meals cost around 20 E's, we averaged around 100-150 E's for evening meal and about 20-30 E's for lunch, i know we went though 400 E's on food alone in the 4 days we were there and one of those meals was pre-paid for in the uk, tip if i was staying again, take a loaf of the long life bread, and make up sandwhiches for lunch, and take crisps/snacks with you, oh and a bottle of juice and a sports bottle, we filled ours with juice and then diluted it with water, as with 3 young kids, water was expensive, i wish i had packed fruit as well, as they were complaining about not having any, as i couldn't find anywhere that sold fruit, which is a shame.

Annette's Diner is by far the best place for American fast food in my opinion, huge meals and very good value for money, I believe they do a take out menu for 18euros although we haven't tried it but we always eat here at least once during our trips. :goodvibes
For the table service restaurants - 2 adults, 2 kids we found between 120 and 160 euros about average. Most if not all restaurants have a fixed child menu price, but drinks are very expensive.

Jane,
The only time I've seen fresh fruit available is from the breakfast buffet (at an extra cost) when we stayed at Cheyenne/Santa Fe, but it was included at the NPB which was wonderful because my 2 eat a lot of fruit so we were able to grab some to eat later. :goodvibes

Yes, fuit and snacks seemed really rare. I asked my hotel for an apple and they dirrected me to the sit down buffet. They found my request so odd, that they gave me two apples for nothing. The waters a real problem too, but I didn't think it was worth it to take the time to leave the area since I didn't have a car. Its not cheaper at the hotels than in the park.

I find the food in paris expensive. Meals were about 20-25 eros an entree at a half way decent restaurant and even lunch for three was at least 30 euros. Pizza and a drink was about 9-10 euros. I found the quality of the meals to be not fantastic but very pleasing especially cafe mickey and walts which helps take the sting off the price.

Hi,

an fastfood menu at the parks will be around 10€ without or 12€ with softdrink.
The 3 course menus at the table service restaurants are 25 - 28€.
The AYCE - buffet at the Plaza Garden is 20€ and 25€ at the Billy Bobs.(without drinks)
Planet Hollywood and King Ludwigs Castle offers lunch menus for around 12 € (with softdrink).
McDonalds are around 6€ for the menu.
In summer you will get fruits at the cars in the park.

NOTE: all the price that show up are incl. tax and tipp so you only have to add an extra tipp if you find the service okay :thumbsup2

Have a look at my website to see prices and pictures from the food.

At all the breakfast buffets at the Disney hotels (included with the price of the room), you have fresh fruit salad. Btw, it's all you can eat breakfast, not all you can take with you to feed your family for the rest of the week buffet (sorry, I can get so angry about those people that take huge amounts of breakfast food with them!!)

If you want some cheaper drinks/ snacks and don't have a car to go to a supermarket: bring it with you from home (that's what I do, I bring it with me in my suitcase from home by train) or you can go to the gas station in front of the Santa Fe.

Buffet dinners at the Disney hotels are 25 euro per adult (no idea about kid's price) and 3-meal-dinner-menus at the table service restaurants (walt's, manhattan, cafe mickey, ...) are 32-34 euro.

We always eat a lot for breakfast, snack on cookies and so that we brought from home during the day (but usually I forget to eat what I brought) and have dinner in the evening. Since the drinks in the restaurants are rather expensive, I usually drink a lot in the hotel before going to dinner (so that I'm not really thirsty from a whole day at Disneyland anymore) and have enough with 1 drink during dinner.

I always tend to graze rather than have 'proper' meals when I'm there. Prices may be comparable to what they charge in UK theme parks but I do tend to think food is expensive. I use it as an occasion to stuff my face with cheap fast food that I wouldn't necessarily eat a lot of at home.

we loved cafe mickeys as well, it was worth the e's for the entertainment, and you can stay as long as you want, we booked for 6pm and left at 9pm and noone seemed to care at all, we also loved the tea party at the plaza gardens, it was all you can eat, mainly sweet stuff but they did have pizza, sausage rolls, meat and cheeses.

we had a meal at Walt's for 2 adults and 1 child which Included 3 courses and a bottle of wine for 90euro which I was pleasantly surprised about as a meal at cafe Mickey cost us 120euros without any starters or wine.
It was lovely food as well.
Planet Hollywood has cost us up to 140euros however I do tend to have a couple of cocktails which are fab.
We don't eat lunch while at DLP as the breakfast usually fills us up and if we do get hungry will will have our dinner early. we always eat at full service restuarants.

I think the sandwich bar at the train station sells fruit as does the Esso garage beside Santa Fe hotel :)

When we were in Disneyland last July we saw a couple of fresh fruit carts in Adventureland - can't remember the prices though.

Wow thanks everyone, how helpful!!!!

We're going for two nights/3 day so I'll make sure to take at least 400 euros for the food.

This forum is great!

When we stayed at the Hotel Cheyenne last month there was fruit salad at breakfast, but you had to pay for it. I think it only comes incl free with breakfast at hotels grade Sequoia Lodge & above. It was free at the GMF breakfast, which is apparently the same standard as Sequoia Lodge.

We stayed at hotel New York in February. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet consisting of cereals, croissants/pastries, rolls, jam, cheeses, cold meats, yoghurts, fruit salad and big bowls of apples, oranges and bananas. If we hadn't had free lunch vouchers included in our trip we wouldn't have bothered with lunch as we were full up enough to last until dinner.
There are plenty of water fountains around the park where you could fill up water bottles during the day.
