Was wondering if anyone knows about how much a pin lanyard or the pin lanyard starter kits are in the stores at WDW?

I bought one for my DD last year at the resort hotel, and want to get one for my niece and nephew for our upcoming trip. I was looking at buying some pins on E-bay and saw lanyards there that I can buy for about $18, that have the zippered case attached and come with 6 asst used pins.

Since I can't remember what I paid, I'm not sure if this is a good deal or if I should just wait until we get there. :confused3

Does anyone know the prices? TIA!

I don't remember any starter sets that were less than $35. I could be wrong, but I think they started and went up from there. I think we paid around $10 just for the lanyard alone with no pins.

You can get a plain lanyard (no pins included) for about $5.00 in any gift shop.

eBay has the lanyards with coin purse but no pins for around $6 including shipping.

i cant remembr the prices at all...but check yoru local dollarstore. i snagged onefor dd almost 4 last week with all the disney princesses on it!

The best thing to do is pick them up off e-bay or to head to a dollar store.
You might be able to find one with the princesses on them. They are expensive.
We went to Disney in 2007 and I think with the lanyard and starter pins to trade it was around 30 dollars. If you want to walk around the park with the pins, I would suggest you buy a pack of the locking backs. We saw a few kids in tears because of a lost pin.

You can go to the outlet to get them cheaper once in Orlando.
Another thought is that most children like the one, that are like wallets that hook to their pants.
My grandchildren have a lot of the neck lanyards as they are always looking for ones that will not make their necks itchy or cause a skin rash.

Well last year they all asked for the wallet one that hook to their pants, because they really don't like the lanyards around their necks.

I have always end up with all the lanyard around my neck,
well last year for the first time I enjoy being lanyard free.

Ditto Madisonsmom45 about the locking pin backs. We bought the clutchback locking pin backs from a seller on ebay. The regular ones can fall off pretty easily when wearing pins around the park.

I can't help much on the price issue other than a general observance...We were at DL in April, and the prices there seemed more expensive than WDW overall. I think a lanyard there was about $10-12 for just the lanyard, so I am pretty sure they are less than that at DW.
