hey just wondering how much AVERAGE you spent a day on Food/snacks/beverages. This is my 1st time going there so here is what i calculated. Please note I AM on a budget so i would love to read i've over exaggerated my spendings a day. This is for 2 people (me, gf)

Meal 1 : $16.00
Meal/snack: $6.00
Lunch 2 : $19.00
snack: $8.00
Dinner : 20.00

So a day I would be spending $69.00. times 7 that would be 483...
I do not plan dining in fancy disney restaurants or 5 star ratings. Something simple like burgers and fries and things of that nature will be very ideal.
Are my calcuatiosn somewhat accurate? Pelase let me know.. Thanks!

p.s. we leave in 48 hrs!

Im in the same boat, but it will be me and my dd7. I am planning 100.00 per day. I hope we will not spend this much, but I do want to get the best out of our vacation. I will be able to share food with my dd sometimes.

Yea, you're pretty close, if all you want is burgers, pizza, and such. On the average, sandwiches were about $6.00, drinks about $2.50. We're a family of four, and we averages about $40. for a meal, and that included fries and even a dessert (then we didn't need a snack!), so you're pretty much on target.

I don't always spend that much...for me and my DS, I spend around 30-35 dollars a day (mostly drinks). We bring pop-tarts for breakfast or buy from the hotel (usually fruit or yogurt), then we share counter service meals (they serve a lot). My brother and I have actually shared meals there as well. You can save a bundle by sharing and then splurge on bigger dinners.

We average 100.00 a day. And that's me, DH and 2 teenagers. On days where we eat a table service dinner, it's more - but we really only eat 1 major meal a day - the rest are light meals or snacks.

We usually just do a peice of fruit or something for breakfast, table service everynight and split lunches (six days in the park will probably be three counters and 3 tables for lunch) between counter and table service. We average $100 a day for a couple including some alchoholic beverages during meals. If you cut out the snacks and nicer breakfast, you could probably do a pretty nice table service dinner. You've alloted table service. I would just bring breakfest to eat in the room, allow $20 for lunch and $50 for dinner.

If you're staying on site, buy the refillable mugs at your resort. That way, coffee (well, Nescafe) will be free every morning. And, every time you eat lunch or dinner at the resort you can use your mug for the beverage.

Will you purchase any drinks in between meals? Maybe you won't average 2 snacks a day but may purchase a water or soft drink?

We average about $28 a day per person. This includes two TS lunches and one character breakfast over a 7-day period. We offset these costs by eating some meals in our room; we always have a car and visit the grocery. Some days we return to our room around lunch time or before dinner and eat sandwiches and chips. We eat most breakfasts in our room as well and occasionally eat outside of the park/resorts.

Are you staying on Disney property? You are guessing about $69.00 a day, maybe you should try to add on the dining plan that (if i'm right) wouldbe about $71.00 a day, and then you could eat like kings and queens! You would have options and enjoy table service meals as well, you could also split a counter service each day for lunch, allowing you to use another counter service for breakfast. Just an idea hope it helps

My DH and I have done meals on $30 a day (total). This meant bringing granola bars from home for breakfast (since we're not really breakfast eaters anyway), sharing one large drink at meals or just opting for a water bottle that we refill throughout the day (I also take the Crystal Light "On the Go" packets with me). As far as snacks go, we usually get one snack a day that we share (once in a great while we'll get separate snacks)...but we're not big snackers.

We usually spend about $80-$100 per day for a family of two adults and one child. We go to character meals and sit-down restaurants as well as counter service restaurants.

I think you're a bit high right now on your calculations with too much money on snacks. I would recommend that you bring your own water bottle and maybe some of those koolaid/crystal light packets to make bug juice or lemonade with water. You can also pack your own breakfast meals (power bars, etc) to save some $$.

We budget per person:

10$ per day breakfast
10$ per day lunch
10$ per day snacks
20$ per day dinner

So basically 50$ per day per person for meals and snacks. We normally eat breakfast in the room, lunch at a counter service, and dinner at a table service restaurant and at least one dinner show.

Last year we used the dining plan and it worked out great for us. If you skip the table service meals and dinnershow you can do it for $40 per person per day. Also bringing a waterbottle will def cut down the cost of drinks while you're in the parks.

I also budget $50 per person for souveniers. Not per day per trip. LOL I'm normally very close with the meal budget, but waaaayyyyy off on the souvenier budget, but I can dream right?

We're between 100 and 150 a day for the three of us....that's me, my dd (4) and my dh. We like to do at least one sit down meal a day, usually a character meal.

For two people, that might be about right. Try eating a lighter breakfast, or pack PopTarts. While we were there, we did the PopTart thing, had a light lunch or a snack and a larger dinner. So busy we forgot to snack in between! And when it got warm, it really dampened my appetite. But you will need to drink alot of water, which can also make you less hungry.

I normally figure $40 a day per person. I would definitely look into the Dining Plan to see if it's doable for your budget, because you would get better meals for the money and not have to worry about what you're ordering because it's all included.

Water in the parks is a RIP OFF. What we did was got bottles of water from the supermarket, froze them, and carried them in a gallon ziplock bag in our knapsacks. It kept it cold. You can refill them at fountains in the park, or ask for an ice water at lunch and dump it in the bottle. I know, it's stingy, but when you're on a budget, you're on a budget!

We are planning on about 25 per person per day. But, we will be eating dinner in our camper in the evenings. It's a way to save a little on the big meal.

Here is a couple of ideas for you:

1. go to allears.net website and under dining you can look at menu's which includes prices.

2. Get a refillable mug at your resort @$12. you can refill it unlimited at your resort during your stay.

3. when you price out how much you will spend in a day, and if it is near the amount of @$39pp. You may want to consider the dining plan. I believe it is $39 per adult and it includes:
-one table service meal.. non alcohol drink, appetizer, entree, and dessert per person. Also includes all taxes & gratuity.(best value when used for dinner)
-one counter service meal.. you can get a combo meal, etc., non alcohol drink, and dessert per person. (best value when used for lunch)
-one snack.. you can now use it for alot of items under $4. such as bagel/creamcheese, crossaint, etc. (we'll use this for breakfast)

We are a family of three, 2 adults and a 9yo! We eat poptarts/cereal in the room most mornings and I also bring some drinks/snacks and get mugs (for our afternoon and evening snacking), but plan on $100 a day! We enjoy a nice dinner each night! :rotfl: I also try to plan a souvineer budget (depends on what we are collecting at the time)! But, we usually spend about $25 a day on souvineers!
