in band? I just want to know if anyone else doenst have a life like me!

i am in a compeating High school marching band...Which means i have practice everyday and then i have contests on saturday! it is a busy life! well its really no life! cause you dont get many day off!

Im in marching band at my high school, on drill team (color gaurd) and in Symphonic band. We have practice for marching 3 days a week and during concert season we will have that 2 or 3 days. I am always at band practice! Alot of my friends are in it too, so we always hang out at the band room. Its fun

ME!! ME!! ME!! Im a band geek too!!! During football season I have band practice everyday during school, but after that I only have symphonic band. I also play two intruments too, but the flute is my main one, but i also know how to play the trumpet. We had a game yesterday and it was not fun because ur hands are freezing and you cant move them, so it is hard to play. This is my first year in marching band and its a lot better than i thought it would be, but just dont tell anyone i said that because i tell told them all, on how i hate it and i dont want to be in it and if the found out they would tell me on how they knew i would like it and all.

Technically, I'm not IN band... I dont play an instrument. I'm on the Flag squad (colorguard). We do all the football games/competitions/festivals that band does. But we also do pep rally and Indoor Guard (color guard in the winter time). This weekend is wut we call a 'squad weekend' cuz we have a football game on saturday and a festival on sunday. Band practices every day during there band period plus tues nites. Squads only practice once or twice a week (depending on the time period, ie- football season is 2x a week) on tues nites (w/ band) & thurs nites.

If you count choir im in that. I cant play an instrument. Guess what i just found out the 10, 11 and 12th grade choir is going to Disney this year. I in 9th grade . They go every two years which means I wont be able to go until i am a junior.

I'm a band geek, too!

I play the clarinet in marching band and wind symphony (the top concert band at my school). during marching season we have practice monday, tuesday, and friday from 2-3:30 and on thursday until 4:30. then we have a football game every friday night, and contests on 4 saturdays from the last week in september to the first week in october. plus we have band aide day, where we have to go around door to door all morning selling raffle tickets. tomorrow we have a double contest, so i have to be at the school at noon to practice, and we wont get home until probably 1 am. But as much as I complain about marching band, I love it! One of my best friends is in color guard this year, and I have made so many other friends through band! Except that now the only guys I can go out with for the rest of my life are fellow band geeks. oh well, theyre not that bad!

My school doesn't have a band..We're not big enough and we really don't have a reason to have one.
We have a Chamber Orchestra, Instrumental Ensemble, Jazz Groups, and Brass Choir.
If i hadn't stopped flute to focus on voice and dance, I would be in Chamber Orchestra.

Im not in band, but I was with the band ALL summer. Im in colorguard and Im going to be captain for our next season! Yay!We had a great season this year and I hope next year will be just as good. The best part is meeting the hotties when we are out of town

Im trying out for captian for dazzlers this year too! I cant wait, im not really expecting to get it this year because i will only be a junior, but I could get it, and it will be great experiance for my senior year!!

We dont "try out" to be captions in our guard! we are chosen... i knwo i am not gonna be caption next year but i am hoping that i might be a co caption! i cant wait! this year i am a sabre. this is my second year. most people in my guard dont get to be a sabre all 3 years they can be!

Have any of you heard of todd marcotichie (sp?) he does west chester every year.. hea also writes our shows! he is soooo good! If your guard or DM dont go to west chester you should talk to your band directors! it is sooo helpful! it is in PA! i can get you info if you want! it helps if you are caption or your just starting a wepon or you want to learn more flag!

ME ME ME!

play Bass Clarinet in marching band and also I'm first chair and section leader! woo-hoo! hehe!

we had UIL yesterday and made ones so on Saturday we have Area to move on to State!!
I'm getting SOOOOO nervous!
I just hope we do AWESOME!

but then state is next weekend and marching season will be done!
