How many weeks until BF.

It is fall and I know for myself this season makes me ask, "how many weeks till Black Firday?" Anyone else think about this?

Yep! I am thinking it. We have budgeted a certain amount for Christmas and I want to make it stretch as far as possible.
Those sales sure do help!!

My DD works at Meijers right now and I told her she has to stay there until after that sale!!

I was planning on purchasing a portable DVD for my DD and a digital camera for our December trip on Black Friday, hoping to get great deals!

I cant wait to see what will be on sale.. I wont be using that day this year to most of my shopping as my kids are getting older and the things that I am thinking of are not usually on sale during that time.. but I will definitely be using it for the smaller things that Im looking for.. When my kids were younger and I mainly bought toys I got alot done on this day.. One year I did all of my shopping on BF and got some great deals.. Saved tons of money!!

Its my favorite day of the year, besides Christmas and Thanksgiving.. Its always a tradition to get out the sale ads on Thanksgiving and circling all the deals and then making a plan on where Im going first and then so on..

I love Black Friday! I start at 5:30 till about 2:00. Then go home for a break. All the stores are just a mile away. My DD are older now and I miss going Toys R US. This year will be less to buy as they only what clothes from Hollister & A & F. I may just have to shop for myself

We're hoping for a good deal on the Nintendo DS on BF. Our TRU just closed near us, so we will have to dirve 45 min to the other one. Walmart is the one place I avoid at all costs on BF!

5:30? I wish.. Im usually up around 2:30 and depending on my first store, Im ready to head out of the house around 3:30.. Normally Im done by 11:00.. I always feel like the energizer bunny on that day .. I get my second wind around 9:00

I agree. It's not worth it to save $50.00 but get broken bones as you're trampled going into the store!

Black Friday is a little less than 10 weeks away. How do I know this? I'm due w/ baby #2 Nov. 22. There will be nos shopping for me this year

Although I'm rather close to the inner workings of a big retailer. They've been in the black all year. They haven't had a red month yet - not even Januarary.

Also, don't be surprised if Black Friday deals aren't what they were (it won't be noticible, the retailers are slipping it in). They have Black Friday sales to get you in the store and the idea is you'll buy more gifts - things that aren't the door busters. Market research has showed them Black Friday shoppers overwhelmingly only buy the door busters - therefore they go through a lot of work to have an unprofitable day. They are trying to figure out a ways around this that doesn't set them up to be non-competative.

I have rarely, if ever found anything worth buying on black friday sales. We do hit JCPenny for the mickey snow globe.

I found awesome deals at Walmart last year!!! The memory cards for digital cameras were $15!! And I can get 90 pictures on them! Just that was worth it!

we only hit the disneystore last year. attempted to walk into sears and walked right out. I went home and ordered dh's tools online from sears and some items from walmart.com instead..

This is sooo me. My DH thinks I'm nuts but I love it. DS 15 wants to share this experience with me this year but I dont see him getting up at 3 AM.

Three years ago I had to work. So i just went for a few hours before. I came to work at 8:00 with tons of bags , my co-workers thought I was nuts.

Two years ago, I left my boss a message at 6:00 a.m. that I was on a line
that was wraped around Kohls 3 times to say don't expect me in.

I can't so carried away I buy stuff I don't need , if I see everyone else buying it.
