say NO to going to wdw next year

*humph*

Im fed up Ive been looking at prices for november 2011, theres some ok ones

but dh (well maybe not so dear right now lol) says no.

He says we will go to skipsy!! I have a serious fear of porterloos lol

Ive tried alsorts
promised not to shop too much in october trip
promised not to buy too much at xmas
made nice meals
bought beer
even grown up tactics lol

but nope

thing is Im at home all day with the kids and hes out at work so I dont fetch a wage in so Im guesing I dont get a say

just dissapointed as my boys will be 2 and 3 by then and at a good age to go!

sorry to whine

thought of that
but childcare would make it not worth it
dh works shifts of afters days and nights so working it so he could have the kids would be hard, and our folks cant have them
2 under fives in nursery or childminder would be a fortune im guessing

You might be able to get some help towards childcare through Tax Credits.......:)

Didn't you register as a childminder or have I got you confused with someone else? If I'm right, could you not start doing it again?

I'm guessing you'd only be able to look after one little one or do school collections but this might work? :goodvibes

Apologies for replying on Anna's behalf but yes, I believe she had to give it up though as it didn't work out.

Anna, I suspect although it might not seem like it that Chris is just trying to be sensible. Bringing up two small children is a pretty expensive business. Why don't you see if you can take a different approach and, rather than worrying about next year, discuss whether it might be feasible to go the year after instead. You could plan how much you might be able to save, present him with the figures and hopefully he won't be able to argue with logic ;) (Can you tell I've done this before :rotfl:)

Just out of interest, weren't you going this year in October or something? Or am I getting confused now :confused3

It might be a blessing in disguise. If you wait a few years, your boys will be older and will probably remember more of the trip. :)

If you're going in October then I think it's fair enough that your husband is trying to save money by not going next year. I like to have trips booked as much as the next person, but I'm aware that my priorities will have to (reluctantly!) change if/when I have kids.

Enjoy your October trip. :)

Im sorry to say i agree with Chris, we only go every two years at best due to the cost involved

I didn't think we'd be going back for a good few years as DH didn't want to, then two weeks ago he changed his mind. It's a very expensive hobby/obsession this Florida lark ;) We extended the house this year and we want a new car soon and as boring as those things are I know it was best in the long run to not stretch ourselves this year.
Youngest DD starts school this September and I have a few ideas for me to earn some pennies to contribute whilst still at home, this should help our holiday fund:)
You have your October trip to look forward to, which is wonderful :thumbsup2

ive started to see it his way,
plus ive checked the spending money for this year and we need another $1000 so there goes any extra money

I also want to do a part time course
