How many vacations have you got planned for this year?

Probably a rhetorical statement since "vacation" for many of us means a break from work. With no work, your entire life's a vacation of sorts.
Most retired people I know refer to them as “trips” or “travel plans”. I’ve never heard a retired person say they were going on vacation.

Heading to Gatlinburg, Tennessee in a couple weeks for 10 days.
In May I have a 5-night solo trip to Mackinac Island.
And we are in the midst of planning a trip to Duluth, Minnesota in late August/early September.

Disney in late Feb.
Universal early March
Disney for Spring Break
Disney Vero Beach in April
Disney early May
Universal mid May
Cabin in NC in June

Fall hasn't been planned yet. Definitely some Disney trips! We live about 2.5 hours away and it's easy to go up for the weekend!

DCL cruise out of New Orleans in March
NCL 10-day Iceland and Norway cruise in May

Sadly, none at present; we had a couple of major home repairs that had to be done last fall, and the cash reserves are still depleted due to wages not keeping up with inflation. We have 3 exciting days booked in Peoria next month for a sports tournament for DD, and maybe 2-3 nights in Chicago for spring break, but that's about it except for DH' birthday in midsummer, which he usually likes to spend at WDW. (My birthday trips have been eaten by the sports tournament thing, as sectionals are always that week. When DD graduates my biggest birthday gift will be getting back my choice of how to spend my birthday!)

We had to make a decision, three tropical vacation trips or one Disney trip. Disney won this year.

We loved our first river cruise on the Danube and we are trying the Douro Portugal itinerary this fall.

DH is not a fan of large cruise ships but we found the river cruise to be perfect.

Hope everyone enjoys their travels!

Ah, one of my favorite things to do: plan vacations.
This year I'm trying to plan something for each month.

Jan - WDW
Late Feb/March - Washington, DC
April - Maybe TX? We're considering moving but want to do some recon trips first.
June - Weekend beach trip
August - Camp Jellystone
Nov - Not sure yet but it'll be my 35th birthday - want to do something fun!
Dec - Cabin trip to the mountains - not sure which mountains yet

DL trips sprinkled throughout the year since I'm a MK holder.

May Rhine River Viking cruise - Basel to Amsterdam
Labor Day weekend- US open so 2 nights in NYC
Christmas- planning on Hawaii - taking care of us instead of everyone else

We have 6 trips planned, timed along with school breaks/holidays. In total it’s 3 weeks at WDW, 3 weeks at DLR, and 1 week at Aulani. We’ll also spend a little time at Universal on the Disney trips. I’m really loving the magic of these trips while our kids are little. My 4yo just did BBB for the first time recently and it was such a fun experience.
