How many times do you visit each park on your trip?

Hi everyone,

I am sort of struggling planning my 2 week trip in a couple of months and will be staying at the animal kingdom lodge. I wanted to know how many times do you visit the each park during your stay and especially if you are staying at a deluxe resort? As this is my first time staying at one I am unsure on how many days I should spend in each park as I’d like to make the most out of the hotel. Though whilst not missing too much out on the parks. I have been twice previously but this will probably be the last time I visit for a while.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We never used hopper passes, we pick 1 park and go from rope drop to close. We usually do each park once with a resort day every other day. If I'm going to pay that much money for a deluxe resort, I'm going to use the pool and anything else.

We like to hit each park twice in a trip (using park hoppers), except for Animal Kingdom which we only go to once. If we went for 2 whole weeks though, we would probably visit Animal Kingdom twice as well. But it really depends on the make-up of your group and how many days of park tickets you plan on buying.

If you are staying for two whole weeks, you don't need a park hopper pass. I would plan on spending two whole days at each park (eight days total). Then you could decide if you'd want more days at some of the parks, or spend more time enjoying your resort. Since you are there for so long you have the flexibility.

So we never stay that long, our trips range in 1 day- 6 nights max. We do however, stay deluxe and so for our longer trips, we still usually only do 1 visit for all 4 parks and we enjoy our resort on arrival day, a rest day and departure day as much as we can. I would venture to guess if we ever did a 2 week trip, we'd probably still only do 2-3 days MK, 2 days Ep and 1-2 day DHS and 1 day AK. I'd probably look at who's in your traveling party, how do you like to tour the parks, what do you want to do at each park, what do you want to do at your resort, do you want to venture outside of AKL, etc. 2 weeks is a long time and you will be able to see and do a lot at each park and your resort. So unless you really need a lot of down time/rest days, you could easily do a rest day after 2-3 park days and have a pretty leisurely trip.

We always get hoppers and normally have 6 park days. We plan 2 days at MK, 2 days at HS, 2 days at Epcot and hop to Epcot almost every night for dinner and/or drinks. We have not been to AK on our last 8 trips.

Edit: we stay deluxe, usually BWI and have 2 non park days built into our schedule. We are not all day park people usually park open to lunch. Then dinner/drinks at night possibly back in a park, usually Epcot but it’s just dinner and drinks. We don’t ride rides.

I'm sure the answers you'll get will vary depending on people's average length of stay, but we've done trips that are 11 nights long. So not quite two weeks, but close enough. On those trips, our breakdowns tend to be 2 days DAK, 2 days DHS, 3 Epcot, 3 MK, and a rest day somewhere in between. We also do park hoppers and we like to stay either at MK area or Epcot area resorts, so our time at both of those parks is probably actually even more, since we often head to them in the evenings after doing a different park during the day.

We go for 10-11 days twice a year. We always do 2 at every park, 1 at AK. AKL is my favorite (tied with poly) and i could stay there for days without going to a park even though we have been there many times.

Depends on the length of trip and ages of folks going. When we took kids we did two a day no went back if we missed something. Now we do one per day and take a lot of days off to just relax. We used to do 10 days non stop parks, water parks, extended hours and come home exhausted. I love AKL. Have not stayed there in years but we usually go for a meal.

We usually go for 12 - 14 days each time, stay deluxe. We do 2 days at Epcot and MK, then one day at ST and AK. Sometimes just half days, we go frequently, so there are trips where we decide to stay at the pool and skip a park. The difference in price for park tickets after you buy a certain number of days is so low that it's not a big deal if we don't use a day. It's nice to spend time visiting other resorts, too.

We typically do HS twice. Epcot twice. Magic kingdom 3 times and and AK once for our trips. We have been staying 8 full days with 2 travel days. Some trips 9 to 10 full days. We hop also so we might be in those parks at nights in and off also.

We've never been for longer than 6 days. If we do any park twice, it's MK or Epcot. Now that Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land are open, we could see doing HS twice. This upcoming trip, we're skipping AK and doing two days at Epcot (for F&W), 1 MK, 1 MNSSHP (with a resort morning), and 1 HS.

For 2 weeks, if it were me and my family, we'd do all 4 parks the first 4 days, a resort day to recover on day 5 with a nice dinner and shopping at Disney Springs later in the evening. We love water parks, so we'd throw that in on day 6. Followed by 2 of our favorite parks on day 7 and 8. Resort day again on day 9. Then all 4 parks again before heading home.

My general rule of thumb is now

Epcot:HS:MK:AK
2+:2+:2:1

So for a 7 day, 2, 2, 2, 1. 9 would be 3:3:2:1. But this also depends on if I am doing any events or parties. Because they will tend to deprioritize that particular park.

I also love going for longer trips so I can do each park in chunks and not kill myself with multiple 10+ hour days.

MK - 0
HS - 0
AK - 1
Epcot - Each day

We didn't care for HS or MK when we went, and Animal Kingdom has truly terrible food, so anything more than a day doesn't work for us. But Epcot we could go back to constantly.

I think the best option for me is to start the parks in the afternoon Or in chunks like you mentioned. After my last trip I think I learnt my lesson..

It depends on who I’m going with.

This trip is with my sister who is a ride wimp.
We are going more for food/drinks/lounges and resort exploring.

So for a 7 day trip we are doing 3 EP, 2 MK and 1.5 AK, 0 HS.

Then when she leaves and my son comes for 2 days we are doing one day each at EP and HS.

Definitely depends on who is going and what they like.

I agree for AK. I think we're going to start doing it in the morning and eating offsite, or eating first and then going.

For 14 days we plan to rope drop each park twice and visit each park once at night. This allows us to ride all the main rides, see fireworks, the tree of life etc., and have afternoon and evening restaurant visits, afternoon naps and resort time.

Just depends upon what you like or don't like.

We always get Hoppers. We want to catch night time shows so we're very likely to go to, say, MK Fireworks after spending the morning in one park and part of the afternoon in another. We love to hop and if someplace starts feeling tight, or busy, we're out.

Depends what you like to do too. We might spend an hour at Brown Derby Lounge, followed by an hour and a half at Baseline, followed by a few at Oga's. And then all of a sudden we're day drinkers.
