How many times can you watch the same movie?

Good movie making is an art. Like literature. When you reread a masterpiece you find new ideas, levels of meaning, etc. Same with a movie.

This. If it is something I really like (much like my favorite books) I can (and do) rewatch it a never ending amount of times. DH and I also will see a movie several times in theaters if we really loved it. That's why we own so many movies/tv shows. Personally for me I can't imagine not wanting to read, watch or listen to things I love repeatedly. That's just the way DH and I am.

depends on the movie
Fantasia - we watched every day for over 5 years
austic son wouldn't go to bed until he watched it
I still watch it today

we usually go to bed when a movie ends now

Yep depends on the movie. I own Goodfellas and The Shining on DVD but every time they are on tv I watch them. I also know Bridget Jones Diary by heart and I can certainly watch Disney movies over and over again.

I can watch a movie more than once but probably have to wait atleast a year between. I watch most of the Christmas movies I own every year. Thats all I do for the whole month of Decemeber. Other ones I own I randomly watch thru the year.

There are a few movies I got cheap on black friday that I had seen in the last few months. I like to watch dvds I buy before I put them with my collection but I have been putting off watching them since I feel like I just saw them. Im waiting for my mom to come because I think she will enjoy them.

When I was a kid I watched Labrynth everyday for atleast a year. My brother says he cant watch that movie because of me. My dad watched Dirty Dancing everyday for awhile too.

I watched Bridesmaids like 4 times this year because everytime someone came over who hadnt seen it I would put it on.

There are some movies I have no need to see more than once...Cloverfield and Avatar come to mind. There are some I never need to see, The Twilight Saga for instance.

Then there are movies no matter how many times I see them I still want to watch them. The Lord of the Rings Movies, Star Wars, any of the Avenger movies.

Now, see if it's a show that I love, I could sit there all Saturday long watching a marathon. That I love. But I swear, if DH watches, Shawshank Redemption, Goonies, A Christmas Story, Westerns, Star Wars, etc.....one more time my head is going to explode!!! :furious:

I LOVE Shawshank Redemption!! One time, I think it was AMC, played it EVERY night Monday through Thursday or Friday. I watched it each night. I have the blu-ray and will watch that. Caught it on TV yesterday --stopped my cleaning and was glued. Funny thing is that despite it being my favorite movie, I have yet to travel the 1 - 1/13 hour away from my home to see where a lot of it was filmed. Maybe I am spending too much time planning Disney trips??? :)

Another favorite is Stand by Me. Despite watching it dozens of times, I still tear up at the end.

I can also watch the Disney cartoon version of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It is on a DVD called The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. I will put this in and watch it and it definitely does not have to be Halloween time.

Many times!!

If any Twilight, Jurassic Park, or Transformers movies are on tv, I will watch them. I also have them all on DVD and on occasion will watch them that way too.
