We are tent camping with another family February 20 thru 22. If I make a ressie for a tent only site, will two tents fit or do they have paved driveways as well? Our tents are rather large and we want to put two on the site if possible.

Help!!!!

As long as you are getting a tent site (partial hook up) you should not have a problem. All sites do have a paved driveway on which you may only have one vehicle but the full hook up sites have more driveway and less pad area. When we tent camped we had a 16x28 area under canvas and still had a room on both sides.

Some tent site pads are larger than others.

I know that 1503, and 1504 have really good size tent areas. 1506 is small. 2034 has a really large pad also.

One thing I've seen some folks do if you don't have a large car or don't need it at the site is put a rain shelter or screen house across the driveway portion and put the picnic table under there.

Just make sure when you put in your request tell them that you need a "large" sand pad.

When you make your ressie tell CRO the number of tents & size of them and they'll assign a site that will work for you

I've stayed at 1506 and we were still able to fit two tents on the sand oath with room to spare.

There was room for our two tents on 1506, but we were only able to put up one of our dining flys because a tree and the power pole was in the way. I would have preferred to have a dining fly in front of each tent.

donac - Are you going to Jambo, or just your Scout?? I'm going to go up there on staff and my son is going with a troop!! I can't wait!! My older son went to 2001 Jamboree and he had a wonderful time!

My older son also went in 2001 and had a great time. My husband and younger son went down with another family to visit him. My younger son is going and my husband is waiting for the application process to begin. He wants to apply to go as a leader. He has gotten a number of his scouts to sign up to go and his assistant is also applying.

I will probably go down to visit with my friend who we went with last time. This time her son and one of her daughters is going to go to Jamboree. I will probably be traveling with her and her other two daughters.

MY family stayed for the closing ceremony last year and it was great. If you think that Disney puts on fireworks wait until you see the ones at the Jamboree. They went on for 20 minutes. They seemed to have some that I have heard mentioned in the new Wishes firework. They had hearts, stars and several other cool figures.

When did you stay in 1506. I have stayed there for 1 week during August the last two summers. We don't have a dining fly but we put a big tarp up to cover both tents both times.

I was in 1506 the first week of December.

We had two individual 10x10 dome tents and two of those Wal-Mart dining/soccer flys.

We just felt squeezed in. We probably could have kept trying other arrangements, but gave up.

It worked, but was just not as large as the pad on 1503, which I stayed in the year before.

I almost got to go to last Jamboree. Was asked to go to work up in DC for a few days, and I was going to visit the Jamboree while there, but the trip got cancelled at the last minute.
