First cruise. I am not a big pool fan (can't swim), but of course the kids are. I have two girls 3 and 9. How many swimsuits should I pack for each? The cruise is in February to the Castaway Cay. Thanks!

2. The showers have drying lines in them.

Thanks so much for the quick responses. I am such an overpacked so I have to be careful. two it is!

If you are flying, be sure to pack a wet bag or at least a couple empty ziplock bags. Nothing worse than the kids wanting to go to one last horrah at the pool the night before you leave and the suit isn't dry when you need to pack it.

I took 4 for a 7 night cruise. But really 2 is fine especially if you have a verandah. I hung them on the chairs out there and they'd dry in a few hours.

DCL specifically asks you not to do that for safety reasons.

One. Never took more than one for any of us on our many vacations. Don't get the need for it-ya it may be damp, it will dry.

I usually take 4-5, I like having a dry suit to put on, and I'm vain so I like to have different options. :rotfl: Of course, I'm a bathing suit junkie. I think I have about 40 suits.

I took clothes pegs to attach them tightly to the chairs because it gets windy out there! After I realized they could actually blow away (hence the safety thing) I hung them up in the bathroom.

Best,

Another vote for 2. There are drying lines in the tub. You have a dry one to put on and one to hang to dry.

DH and I bring two for ourselves but bring an extra for DD. It depends on how often in the day the kids go swimming. DD would go in the morning and afternoon and we didn't like putting a wet suit on her so we brought three and kept them in rotation on the drying line in the bathroom.

I'm a guy so I'd say one. My daughter, however, says one for each day plus one spare just in case.

Depends. If you or your kids will spend all day in a swim suit (either on deck or in port) I might pack more than 2. Historically we packed two each.

We always take a couple of suits each. Then midway through the cruise I do a load of laundry (great to wash up your going home clothes, often the clothes we came in) just to freshen the suits up. :)
