How many suitcases do you take???? (m)

we are a family of 5 and I'm guesstimating that I will have 2 large and 1 medium suitcases for us. I could probably get away with one large, one medium and one small pilots bag but I want to leave room for the stuff that we will inevitably buy while we are there.

How does that compare to what you take?

When my group of 5 went in 2006 we had one large suitcase, one medium size, one carry on size, and two back packs. My kids were 8, 3, and 16m Be sure to pack one of your suitcases with stuff for the pool incase you can't get into your room right away you can go hang at your resorts pool and have everythign you need

I took two large luggage bags and a smaller carry-on one and two backpacks for my niece and I.

We do one bag per person plus each person's carry-on (backpack whatever.) I like everyone's stuff to be seperate and I like everyone 8 and above to be resposible for rolling their own case and keeping up with it as well as at least helping to pack it. By 11 or 12, my kids were packing there own.

I don't pack a large one anymore - I don't pack anything more than clothes and the sucker always is over 50 pounds and costs me $$ at the airport. Heck even the medium just hit 48 pounds on our trip last weekend!

For this coming trip - 7 nights and a laundry day midweek we will bring either 3 mediums or 2 mediums and a small. They will not be full on the trip there - but just might be on the way home from purchases!

It depends on where you are staying we stay at a DVC and pack very light and wash every night. 1 large suitcase and one small.

Family of 4 including 2 Toddlers - we'll do 2 suitcases this year. 1 large and 1 medium or large. (One for my husband and I and one for the 2 girls.) Each child will have a backpack and we will have a diaper bag and computer backpack, stroller and carseats.

Since only the 2 bags will cost us money, that's the way we have to go. I'm still trying to figure out how to get us down to 1 large to save money.... God bless the washer/dryers in the DVC units!

I dont know what I would do without a W/D!!! We also are a family of 4 with 2 under 2 so they dont require much. If anything diapers take up the most room! But not sure about DH and I. I am guessing we will share one large or medium and the kids will have a large/medium as well. I will put my backpack in my suitcase as I will need it in the parks, perhaps the plane...we shall see. Then we will carry on a diaper bag and backpack and gate check the stroller. Thankfully I have a while to figure it out

Sounds good to me! I am hoping to be in DL when molly is there too but so far it is only April. If I can get someone to watch the kiddies I will be there nov 5th!

All the adults bring one normal size suitcase each and each of the kids bring there own little charecter one. That way we have our own stuff in our own cases and room to bring things home.

We're a family of 5 and we bring 3 large suitcases which are only half full on way there but bursting on way back. We usually have an extra holdall on the way back too. We stay for 14 nights and i usually only do laundry once so need clothes each for one week.

Family of six (dh, me, kids were then 10, 5, 4 and 19m) we went for 14 days and we packed 3 cases- 2 large, 1 medium and a stroller- that included all our clothes for my sisters wedding though so the medium case was entirely bridesmaids and flowergirl dresses, we also packed diapers, slings etc for the baby in that too.

We found some clothes we took we just didn't use- things we assumed we must take but just didn't have the call for, when everyone said to me "only take shorts and t-shirts" I thought yeah, right, like anyone my age spends 2 full weeks in shorts so packed some sundresses, a couple of skirts etc but I spent the full 2 weeks in shorts wishing I'd saved space and took more shirts to avoid the trip to the laundry

The laundry facilities were just fine at all star movies.

We are a family of 7 - 3 adults, 4 children ages 5 & under. We usually go for a weekend. We take 1 large suitcase, 1 medium suitcase, 3 carry-one sized bags, 2-3 tote bags, and 3 backpacks + diaper bag. We just carry stuff we buy in the shopping bags LOL. Then again, we drive from Jacksonville - so it's not like we are getting on an airplane and having to check stuff.

We just got back and I took one large suitcase and one small one and dh took his duffle bag. The girls each had a carry on for the plane and so did I. I did pack a small bag for stuff that we were/did purchase while we were there. This was only for 5 nights though.

Family of 5 - 2 large and 2 medium. One small backpack and a umbrella stroller for the plane. With 3 young chiuldren I don't wnat to be hauling tons of carry on around. We love magical express becuase they move our bags.
