Hi.

I am bringing a 1 year old, twin four year olds and a six year old to Disney in January. I intend to bring a stroller for the baby and rent a side by side at Disney. I figure the twins may need one some of the time. My questions is how available is the side by side for rental and how "good" are they. Any recommendations would be super appreciated.

Thanks!

The side by side is a double and they are all over the place. You shouldn't have a problem getting one. I have never rented one but did rent the single for my then 5 year old. Just make sure that you put some identifying thing on it. Your name is put on a poster in the back but I did notice that people don't always pay attention to this.

I would recommend bringing the umbrella for your 1 year old for the airport ( or other way you are traveling to and from) But I would also recommend that you rent two double strollers when you get into the park because your oldest will want to sit down, it is a lot of walking and standing, etc. I'm assuming you have another adult with you. I have a 6 and 3 year old. What I will be doing this December, even though he will be 6 1/2 is bring the umbrella with me to the park then renting the double stroller. I just fold up the umbrella and lay it accross the top on the canopy. If cost is a factor and you only want to rent 1 double stroller, then when the oldest gets really tired and needs to stop walking he/she will be able to sit safely in front of the twins on the double. It will be a little squishy for them but will work.

I wouldn't rent one for the 6 year old, the 4 year olds will be able to walk part of the time and if the 6 year old really needs a rest then they can share - 2 strollers will be more than enough to deal with, and the baby can't go in a rental (well, they could I supporse but I wouldn't put mine in one)

My 1 year old will be in her own stroller and the 6 year old will be walking, she walked last year and she managed just fine.

Are you familiar with the rentals - they aren't real strollers they are more like carts.

Thanks for your help. We'll for sure bring the baby his own stroller as we need one for the airport and the Disney Cruise as well (hopefully he will be walking by then (send pixie dust please!). We'll either rent one as advised or I may use ABBF. Still have some time to think about it.

Thanks for all the help.
