How many stories does tower of terror drop?

I am wondering if the tower of terror drops the entire height of the building?

I went on drop zone at danadas wonderland (230 feet) and found that too intense.

No it drops multiple times but never drops the full 13 stories it goes up then down a few floors then up again and down a few more but there isn't a full drop.

I don't think so. It only felt like 5 or 6 stories and it was a very gentle drop. I skipped it the first trip....I wasn't brave enough...but last trip I promised myself that if I flew across 2 countries and spent thousands of dollars....I was doing the TOT. I was so scared.....almost to the point of tears, but I loved it. DH and DD wanted nothing to do with it again.

Haha! After I went on it the first time, I LOVED it!! But, every time after that, it takes a lot of convincing for me to go on it again!!

I think since it is in the dark, it feels like it drops more than it actually does. It think it's about 3-4 seconds for the longest drop. It is a smooth drop, and I love how you can't tell if you're going to go up or down.

In all reality, it does not drop, it is a very controlled pull down and up. A whole lot of fun, my wife and I always get off the ride laughing. More mental than anything.

Hmmm... I would not say it's "mental." Whether you are pulled or pushed or falling, in this case, pulled, there is a definite physical sensation that takes place when the weightlessness hits. And that is not a "mental," but a physical. For some, a very unpleasant feeling.

Wow, you guys are brave! I went on that ride one time and literally thought I was going to die. Thought my heart was going to stop beating right there on ToT. I had to sit for about 30 minutes after the ride to relax. Being lifted off my seat was terrifying! You couldn't pay me enough to get on that ride again!

Thabk you! I made a post on here in February that we thought the sequence had changed. There was a private HP event during our trip (first week of February) where they closed Hollywoodland down early including TOT, and then the party expanded to the entire park after regular closing. We had been on TOT probably seven times the few days before the party, and knew the sequence. We went on the day after the party and it was entirely different. It caught us all off guard and we screamed entirely too loud because we were surprised and scared.

I still swear they changed it, but you'd think they'd publicize "an all new sequence and ride experience".

Agreed. To me, it actually feels like your insides are pushing up against your throat so much that it's hard to let out a scream, even though you want to!
