How many steps do you get in a DLR/DCA day?

I joke that I walk a half-marathon each Disneyland day! ... but true

I recently did a non-Disney trip with lots of hiking and walking. I was certain my tricky knee and legs would really suffer. I found that taking ibuprofen pretty much every 4-6 hours continuously made a HUGE difference. I slept better without walking up in the middle of the night with aching legs and my knee didn't swell or hurt. I plan to do this during my Disneyland trip in a few weeks since we plan 2 consecutive heavy touring days.

That's a great idea to take the ibuprofen proactively. I will do that. I'm taking big doses of turmeric daily and that has helped with the joint pain significantly, but Disney will be a whole different story.

I do that when at Disney and it helps a lot.

I have bad knees and when I have pain which is regularly I use a gel called Arnica Gel. They also have it in a cream. It works almost immediately for me. The pain goes away for a good amount of time too. I'm using a scooter when I go to DLR in October 2023 and I'm bringing at least 4 tubes of it because my knees will ache even with the scooter and my friend will probably need it too. It works wonders. Nothing in it but natural ingredients. My 88 year old mother uses it and she feels better right away. Just thought I'd mention it for people with pain in their muscles and joints after walking DLR. :)

If anyone takes a break at the hotel, mid-day, I recommend to prop your legs up (vertically) along a wall or your bed so that the toxins can drain out from the feet and lower legs and then when you feet get planted on the ground the blood will rush back to all areas of the legs. This suggested treatment works for me, not sure it will be helpful to others, but I try to give some sporadic advice on these to boards and share my knowledge, and as my kids say, I'm full of it.

Average of about 20k+ per day as well. We go morning to night but also like to take breaks and don't mind standing in long lines for the right rides so I'm sure I could get higher if I tried.

Our last trip (park-hopping, open-to-close with one brief break at the BWPPI to change clothes) was 28K (12.8 mi) one day and 33K (14.6 mi) the other. My sister and I are big walkers though -- that second day we walked over to DCA just to try a drink from one of the Food & Wine booths and then headed right back to DL for a dining reservation.
