How many stay at home resort verses other?

We bought AKV July 08. Then added BLT Nov 08. So far we have stayed at SSR-13 nights with Developer Points
WLV- 1 night
AKV-1 night
OKW-3 nights

Now our intent is to try each DVC resort but primarily use the points for BLT and AKV. This Christmas we are scheduled for 5 nights in AKV KV and 8 nights BLT.

On a side note I did after 1 night fall totally in love with WLV and may buy a few points there one day.

We bought in 1996 and always stay at our home resorts. We have stayed at Vero on points as well, and paid cash for a HHI trip. We own at OKW and BCV and usually always book at the 11 month window.

We got SSR in 2003. We have stayed there multiple times, OKW multiple times, and BCV multiple times. We have two trips planned for AKV. After that we want to hit BLT and WLV.

We bought BCV in 2003. I think we've stayed there 3 times, once at SSR and the rest of our trips we've stayed at OKW. We only have 150 points so the low points and the HUGE villas of OKW appeal to us the most. Plus, we love the resort.

Well - - we are the strange ones. We bought in 1995 OKW and have never stayed anywhere else. We love OKW - it works for all of our family and we have met such great friends there. We all come at the same time - "Wecome Home" means a lot to us there. We spend six weeks a year at OKW!

Since we usually visit during the Christmas season, we prefer our home resort at the VWL but I just noticed that for our stay in late November that a waitlist came through for the Beach Club. That is good since we have dinner resrvations at Epcot for most of the evenings

I bought where I wanted to stay (BCV, VWL & BLT) and have only stayed elsewhere once. I stayed at OKW for a week preceding a week at VWL in order to save some points. I also stayed at Kidani with a friend on her points once.

We stayed at the BWV and the BCV and then decided on the BCV for a purchase. We have never stayed anywhere else. The only way I would ever stay at another DVC resort would be if I owned there. We are considering buying points at WLV for just that reason.

We purchased SSR in 2004. Initially didn't stay at SSR but now it works out that we usually stay there half the time. We love split stays. We have stayed at all the dvc resorts except AKV and BLT. We will be staying at BLT in less that one month ! AKV will have to wait. We will eventually get there but just haven't found the right vacation yet. We loved all the resorts and look forward to staying again at each one.....except for BCV....for some reason it just didn't strike a chord with us. It was beautiful, great location, but we just liked BWV's better!

We have three different home resorts to use for our trips at different times of the year so we only stay at our home resorts. Until next month, that is. I had our boardwalk view studio booked for our long weekend at F&W festival but I received a call back in June (?) about how we were being moved from BWV to BCV due to construction. So, we are trying BCV for the first time.

December will be 3 yrs since we bought and we try to stay at a different resort each time we go. That makes each trip feel different from the last. So far we have used points for one DCL (1st & last on pts.) and have stayed at OKW, VWL, AKV Jambo, SSR, BCV and VB. In March we are planning to try AKV Kidani. We are a little "points challenged" so I try to plan out our point usage carefully to fit in as many nights as possible per year.

Not sure yet where we might go next summer...might try a split stay with a few nights at BLT & then the remainder at BWV. Then we would have hit them all except for HHI. We only use studios & are not sure we'd like that dinky BLT studio for more than about 3 or 4 nights so don't want to try a full week there. It was available for our March dates but I felt like it was too point intensive for the "Premier Season". We'll try it when it won't "cost" so much. We almost booked SSR again for March but the std. view Kidani studio used the least amt. of points so it won for that trip!

We are SSR owners and have stayed there twice. We love it there but have been trying to do all of the DVC onsite properties at least once. So far we haven't been able to get VWL or BCV but we're still trying. After that we'll be more than happy to stay "home" each trip.

I stay at my home resorts at least half the time. We own at AKV and BWV and stay over Christmas/New Years and book at exactly the 11-month window. I try to visit other DVC resorts when we stay over the summer.

We have been members since 2002. We usually stay (50% of the time) at BCV and AKV since they are our home resorts. However, we have also stayed at BWV (once), VWL (many times), OKW (once) and we will be staying at BLT for the first on our next vacation.

I tend to book at our home resort at 11 months prior, but sometimes check availability for the other resorts at 7 mths.

We own at both OKW and AKV. We bought into DVC in Nov. '08 and have made 2 trips on points with a 3rd coming up next month. The first was a last minute decision and we ended bouncing around between OKW and BWV. We made our 2nd trip in April and made a date change last minute and ended up with another split stay. This time was SSR and OKW. This trip was originally booked for OKW exclusively. The trip we have planned for October was going to be our first to AKV (have stayed at the lodge), but when they opened up BLT to everyone we opted to stay there instead. We figured it was probably our best chance of getting in and since we own at AKV we can stay there any time. Our plan is to stay at AKV sometime next fall/winter.

We generally book OKW at the 11 month mark and if we feel like changing to somewhere else we give it a shot. However, we are happy with OKW and I'm sure we will be happy with AKV.

We want to try BCV too at some point but I don't have to stay at anything but home resorts. My daughter wants to try the clown pool so that is why the January trip will be there plus Epcot is her favorite resort and I like the Boardwalk activities.

I bought at OKW through resales and I love OKW but some stays lend themeselves better at other resorts. For Star Wars Week-end we always stay at BCV/BWV. For summer when it's more about the resort, pools, & water parks it's OKW. When bringing new family and friends we always let them expreience AKV, the Savanna. I like week-ends at Vero Beach.

THat's why I bought into DVC, for the flexibility!

Think that's it.. hopefully we'll be done with our "tour" by 2012.. we are already looking forward to heading to Disney Land then!!!

We love our home resort at SSR, we could easily stay there everytime we come to WDW.. but we also love all the variety of fantastic resorts that we can visit with our DVC!!!

haven't stayed yet at our home or any DVC. 23 days to to though!! I plan to try them all out. We own BLT and expect to love it but i expect to love them all. I already feel the need to add on so i would like to try some of the others out prior to adding on any points so we can get 11 month advantage. Going to try to switch to AKV at 7 months for youngest sons bday next July as he is a true animal lover. So i have yet to see which one i like best but i think BLT will win.
