So the post- Disney blues finally feel like they're going away a week after getting home so I feel like I can start a TR without wanting to cry, maybe!

I'll do a quick re-run of the craziness that is our family!
There's me- Bec I'm 28
The husband Liam, 34
DS1 Jake, 8
DS2 Max, 7
DS3 Zak 8 1/2 months

Disney -2, 22nd Sept 2012
So my app told us there were 2 sleeps left until Disneyland and we set off at 10am to London where we were staying with some close friends before leaving for the magic.
We got to their house at 1pm ish and got straight on a tube for the city. We did the usual sight seeing- Buckingham palace, Big Ben etc and went back when our feet felt like they were about to fall off- a familiar theme to the week!

Disney -1, 23rd sept 2012
So we woke up very excited but knew it was going to be the longest day ever! We just relaxed for the day and I checked all the documents 45 times and repacked the cases many times.
When 7pm finally rolled round we put Jake and max to bed but they were clearly not going to sleep.

0 sleeps!!!!
Liam managed to get about 2 hours sleep but I, like a small child was far too excited for sleep! A decision I would sorely regret 24 hours later!
We left Ruislip at 12:30 am leaving ourselves with plenty of time to make our 4:20 ferry.
We had made an epic mistake of not borrowing a sat nav that didn't have dementia as it became clear 15 minutes down the road ours did.
Liam assumed it was taking us on the M25 round to Dover but it became apparent later that it was taking us via central London! Liam started to panic that we were going to miss the ferry crossing but I was trying to be the voice of reason but as we drove down park lane I did start to worry myself!
We then passed Buckingham palace, Big Ben and the London eye which I found amazing to see at 2 am but Liam not so much! He was freaking out! In retrospect it was really funny.
Once out of London, the doolally sat nav tried to get us lost once again so I decided to use the maps on my phone to get us there.
We got to Dover at about 3am and they put us on the earlier ferry.
I won't go into details on the ferry crossing as the most exciting thing that happened was we found out I was very sea sick and that wasn't exciting at all! :(
The realisation we had been up almost 22 hours hit when we were in France so the drive down wasn't as much fun as I wanted it to be.
I was the navigator as the stoopid sat nav didn't recognise Disneyland so I had to use Carrie-Cat's directions which to people who have normal sense of direction would have been fine but we managed to get lost 10 minutes away which was far from fun!! :)

I've just re read and realised I've waffled a lot so sincere apologies to anyone that made the end! :)
I'll continue the waffling from when we arrived at Sequoia lodge.

Well I suppose I don't need to waffle on from when we reached the hotel then!

I can sympathise with crazy sat-navs...we once went to Devon and our helpful device announced that we had arrived when we were practically in the middle of a field. Needless to say our dad received a new one for Christmas that year! At least you didn't miss your ferry!

I made it! :goodvibes

Blinkin' sat navs - we tried using one on holiday in Somerset and it kept sending us off down dirt lanes into farms! Drove us bonkers!

Glad you found the Sequoia Lodge in the end, despite the doolally sat nav! :thumbsup2

19 more sleeps for us :/

Mam- becki 27
Dad-Gareth 28
Son-dylan 10
Twin daughters - Caitlyn and Madison 6
Daughter-isabelle 4

Ah Bec, dont stop waffling, it has me in stitches.
Uuugh that whole being too nervous to sleep thing plus navigating I get and its horrid.

Cannot wait for more :yay:

I've been busy waffling at work but I shall be back hopefully this weekend to waffle some more!! :)

Great news. I'll have your TR to perk me up when Im back from DLP with the disney blues :)
