It was the last day of school. Students were out, but teachers were in. I was up early that morning completing the last minute efforts in packing the car. The Disney box was sadly empty once more, sitting derelect in a corner of the bedroom. Once more, it was a forgotten memory, a snippet in time. It was all over for the box yet again.

Distinct smells wafted from the kitchen--those of pancakes. It was a normal smell because my husband always makes pancakes in the morning: chocolate chip for the girls, plain for the boy. This morning, there was a distinct difference in the pancake shape, for my dear husband, who makes breakfast every morning and claims he doesn't love Disney, was doing this:

Ah, the sweet taste of freedom, only hours ahead. Minutes, really, until we are at our happy place once more. Orlando, here we come!

Oh, and introductions? Here we are:

And really, is there any better reason for the box to be empty?

Really?

The Tinkerbellarella household is hiring. ::yes::

You have a beautiful family.
And a beautiful Lapu Lapu.

There are never enough rides on POTC, especially if you are seeking a respite from the Florida heat!

I know--he can't resist the pancakes (Neither can I). He did the same thing for our MNNSHP trip in 2008

First of all, I'll keep him, thankyouverymuch. Second, since in about a year we'll be going again, I think I should drag out the box again.

I can't wait to post about the Lapu Lapu.

That was the main reason for the rides on Pirates. It was always so hot there!

Sigh. . .the Disney withdrawals. . .I got them big time after I came home in December. I'm starting to feel them a little bit right now, as well.

Mr. "I really don't like Disney" showed us differently, didn't he?

Welcome home and back to the disboards! Can't wait to hear all about your trip!:cool1:

Thanks, Hallie

:welcome: I love my Disney Box.

I'm here too! popcorn:: Can't wait to hear all the details. I start my Disney withdrawls on the morning of my last day at Disney... I hate thinking we're leaving today, and wont be back for who knows how long.
I love to hear about other people's trips. My DD's BFFL just got back last week, and I was asking her and her mom to tell me all about it, and tell me more... and they looked at me like I was crazy. Some people just don't get it. they don't appreciate Disney the same way we do.

OK.. I'm clueless:confused3.... what's a Disney box? I think I need one too. ;)

I thought I checked in here, but I don't see my post. Maybe I'm losing my mind. :lmao: I'm in! Love the Mickey pancakes!! Can't wait to hear about your trip! I'm still in my Disney funk. And I still have 18 months or so until our next trip!! :(

I love reading and hearing about other's trips as well! I really have to catch up on all of the trip reports I'm subscribed to.

A Disney box is a big rubbermaid tote I keep all of my Disney stuff in. It makes an appearance every trip. It used to fill up with stuff I bought, but now when I get back from a trip and I do laundry and unpack, stuff that is specifically for Disney goes back in it.

Stephanie--I know--we are really looking into DVC right now because I am now in the 2 times a year mode. But the next 4 trips are all going to be 1-1 with a kid or solo, not family.
