How many rides during MM at DL?

How many rides are you typically able to do if you get there at the start of a magic morning at Disneyland? I saw a list that had about 14 rides listed for MM openings. Is it ever possible to get through all of them during that hour? Or, do you need to pick and choose wisely? We won't have small kids with us, if that makes a difference. And, I don't really care about getting on the Finding Nemo submarine ride (did it once and that was enough for me!).

I haven't completely worked my dates out yet, but it most likely be either be 12/5 - 12/9 or 12/8 - 12/12/2015. So that gives us either Tuesday, December 8, Thursday, December 10 or Saturday December 12 for MM depending on which set of dates we end up with. Thanks!

it depends on which rides you really want to go on. We got on 6-7 Fantasyland rides in that hour but they were all really close together.

I think it can also depend on what time magic morning is. The first 2 years we went MM was at 7 am and we got 6 done in Fantasyland, and headed to Matterhorn or Space depending on what was opened (I agree with the OP on Nemo, once was enough). Sometimes Space wouldn't open right away so we'd try and do the shorter line rides on our way over and would hit it just before the 8am rope drop. But last year we went (all our trips were the week in Aug before passes were unblocked) everything was an hour later and it just didn't seem like we could do as much as quickly. It was just DH and myself which made it easier to move around and change plans quickly if the ride we were headed for wasn't open yet

The one time we were "gifted" with MM when we can early a couple of months ago, Fantasy land and all of Tomorrowland was open. We did SM, Star Tours, and most of fantasyland with the exception of peter pan.

It also depends on how early you get to the gates before the start of MM (in other words, how close to the front of the turnstile lines are you?). If you aren't at the front, and you want to do Peter Pan, that will probably take up 30 to 45 minutes of your MM alone. I've only done MM once and we did Peter Pan and then a few of the other FL rides (so maybe three rides in total).

My experience has changed over the years as more and more people understand the value of MM. In the summer, when we go, MM is at 7am. In years past, we could do every ride in Fantasyland plus Space or Matterhorn. But this last summer (2014) for the first time MM was fairly crowded at Dland. We did it twice in one week - one time we only got three rides in (PP, Teacups, Matterhorn). I find MM at DCA still feels very uncrowded though (just more real estate to spread everyone out probably.) Last summer we were still able to ride TSMM back to back three times, then walk on Screamin, then Mater and Luigi before park opened and we got in line for RSR FP.

For summer 2015, I am anticipating that the May opening of a refurbed PP is going to make MM in Fantasyland huge. We will have to get up EARLY to be one of the first waiting at the gate to avoid long line at PP (unless Disney in all its wisdom comes up with some kind of better way of dealing w the PP line up.)

Best I have done on a MM was like this
1. PP, one of the first on so we walked on. By the time I was off the ride there was a line formed. And within about 15 minutes it was backing up out of the que.
2. Dumbo
3. Alice
4. Toads
5. Star Wars
6. Space
7. Buzz (And we got out just before rope drop and headed to the ropes toward Indiana Jones and got on that walk on right after park opened and then did rides over on that side of the park)

If I dont get to PP before the line starts I skip it do all the others. We have skipped Dumbo a couple times because DD didnt feel like riding it and that saves a little time as well. Ive done star wars and or Space two or 3 times during the hour when skipping more of FL.

Here's what's open
I would skip Nemo as that's a huge time eater and skip the walkthrough as that can be done at any time with no wait. Assuming you are one of the first people on Peter Pan you can definitely get all or most of it done in 1.5 hours or so.

Thanks! Hopefully I can convince my 20 year old that it's worth getting up early for! These are the ones I would be most interested in; Mr. Toad, Alice, Snow White, Pinocchio, Matterhorn and Space Mountain. Time permitting; Buzz and Star Tours. I like Peter Pan, but I wouldn't want to invest too much time in it. I've actually never done the Carousel, it it's not too busy that might be fun.

Agree. The first hour of park opening (MM or not) is not worth wasting standing in line. We try to be one of the first for Peter Pan, but if we can't we skip it. We don't like to wait in line much, but I'd rather wait 40 minutes to ride Peter Pan in the afternoon when all lines are long than wait 20 minutes during the first hour when the rest of the lines are short. Typically we make it on Peter Pan only once per trip except on rare occasions where I've decided to wait in the afternoon. It's not easy to be the first on. We were at the front of the rope one time, and the rope wasn't at Main Street it was in different sections. We were waiting on the right side of the partner's statue and we headed straight to Peter Pan. But so did everyone behind us and everyone standing on the left of the partner's statue. Our wait was only a few minutes, but we were far from the first on even though we had been first at that rope.

Its been my experience that the Carousel and Snow white do not get busy like the other rides do. There are several times throughout the day that I have seen no line or a very short 5-10 min wait for those rides so I don't even consider them for MM. I know I can get on them later without much of a hassle.

Are Alice and Pinocchio busy? We've never ridden those since they are not at WDW.
Long waits later in the day? Slow loading?
Thanks a lot!

Alice is busy now (didn't used to be too bad) b/c it went through refurb and upgrade last year. The three longest waits in Fantasyland are PP, Dumbo, Alice. Pinocchio is not historically a busy ride. You can have a fairly short wait on that one any time of day typically. BUT there were rumors of some plussing of Pinocchio and other dark rides for the 60th anniversary so if that does happen it could change the pattern.

Since you mention your 20 YO I wanted to chime in with single rider line. The Matterhorn single rider line was running during EMH & I practically walked right on (there was at least a 20 min wait in line). I rode 3 times before my fam got back from Star Tours! (I was having so much fun I didn't really start to feel the bruises until the 3rd trip but boy did I feel them the rest of the day!)

Alice and Toad are the most busy dark rides besides Peter Pan. Pinochio and Snow White are less busy, probably because they scare young kids (though Toad could too). In my experience Alice has always had a steady line of 20+ minutes after the first hour, but now it's even longer because the plussing has made it even better. I've been looking at my ride time app and the waits have been pretty low in general this week (most rides 20 minutes or less), but Alice was still maintaining 20-30 minutes and it's not exactly a thrill ride. Of course Peter Pan is closed, so that doesn't help. I think when Peter opens back up the wait time may even out.
